Certified Holy Land Olive Wood Caring/Holding Cross (1, Extra Large)

As a pastor and former chaplain, I have purchased hundreds of "My Caring Crosses" over the years, for residents of a senior residential community, and for my congregations. They are palm-sized and smooth to hold, and soothing to rub while praying. They also are a tangible expression of faith that reminds recipients of the power of Christ on the cross to bring hope, peace and salvation. In times of struggle and suffering, recipients know that Christ is with them. The crosses were also especially meaningful to individuals who contracted Covid, and could not have visitors; they also have been helpful for family members who have had loved ones die. This particular brand of olive wood crosses comes with "The Lord's Prayer" bookmarks, and a small card that offers a message of hope, and an explanation of the source of the cross from Bethlehem.

Last fall, I went through chemo & I received a pocket cross. I always carry it with me for the peace it gives. I ordered 50 crosses the 1st time to share with others. I thought I would have enough. I took them to my chemo center & just placed them in a bowl for people to get if they wanted. They went quickly. Since that 1st time, I have given them to people from kids to the elderly. Many asked if they could take one to give to others. I just made my 4th order. Each cross is unique and is carved from olive wood around Bethlehem. They come with cards about the crosses & how they are made. I highly recommend the crosses. Each one is unique & they may vary in size & thickness, but they are close to the same size. Also, the patterns differ according to the piece of wood, which makes selection of the cross "speak to" the people who choose it. It is the perfect gift to pass on to others.

I purchased the crosses for our church as an outreach program. Everyone loved them. We are just about ready to order more. Love them. These make thoughtful, excellent and purposeful gifts!I love the size and feel of these crosses (so smooth), and the hint of uniqueness to each one. It first occurred to me to see about getting some crosses to give away after reading the book "Do You Believe?" by Travis Thrasher, from the Christian screenplay from the film of the same name that is just out this year.I hope to get more, as I gave them to my church to give out at a prayer conference. I also love knowing that by purchasing these I am also helping to support the Christian families in Jerusalem that depend on selling these as their only income. (Shipping was reasonably fast, and took maybe two weeks.)

During the 2021 Lenten Season, I provided each member of our church with a "caring cross" that they could carry with them as a reminder of the unconditional gift of love Christ offered us on the cross. This was a very effective reminder and keepsake for the Season of Lent as well as Easter.

The crosses were crafted beautifully and are a perfect size for praying. Our high schoolers appreciated the crosses and have used them in their personal prayer. They are the perfect size to put in a pocket and always carry them with you.

I have given away several hundred of these crosses to people I meet who need the comfort these crosses bring. Ladies carry them in their purses, men carry them in their pockets. I have so many wonderful stories to share about them and the people I have given them to.

We used the crosses at a funeral. Everyone attending the service was offered a cross, most people were very keen to have one and took time to chose as each cross has unique markings. The feedback was lovely and the crosses very much appreciated.
