amazing
i love my cats; they're like my family. but it's been a bit of a nightmare for 3 years with them. they scratch my door when i'm sleeping and cause horrible damage to the door. i took them both to the vet to make sure they were okay because they'd sometimes cry all night, too. everything was fine, they just want to play and are nocturnal. they also have issues with closed doors.i've literally woken up crying because i just want to sleep. its like having a baby that never gets into a regular sleeping pattern ever. it's gone on for 3 years; i'm not able to sleep more than 3 hours a night. Or they wake me up 2 hours before the alarm goes off so i can't really go back to sleep long enough to be worth it. playing with them before bed, giving them love and attention just doesn't work. they're lovely cats and very affectionate but i just want to sleep! i just kept saying 'they have to tire themselves out soon' but it would never end. i ignored it- it wouldn't stop. i reacted to it- it wouldn't stop. i've tried tape on the door (which just ended up being a new toy for them to scratch and play with), smelly spray (which would scare them away for a few minutes but they'd always come back), ... nothing worked.THIS WORKS! I've finally gotten sleep through the night for the first time in 3 years. It's a hard compression spray (which doesn't hurt them, but it's jarring). They completely stay away. They haven't even cried in the days I've had the spray. just sit it near the door and forget about it. it does it all for you. I wish i'd bought this years ago! I actually turned it off today and just set it near my bedroom door and they won't come near it. best purchase ever. thank you!

Returning it is impossible!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!
We had one of these years ago and it worked flawlessly. Ordered this newer style one recently to help one of our cats from peeing in an area it shouldn't pee in. This thing just won't work. I've replaced the batteries twice, thinking it may be the batteries but that's not the case. No matter what setting I try, it doesn't work as it claims. It'll go off when no one is around it, yet our cat can walk right up to it, sniff it, and it won't even detect the motion and alert the cat. This thing is garbage as listed in other reviews. Amazon directs you to the manufacturer to return it or contact the company's support department, but that is a joke. This item isn't even listed on the company's website to get support for and you can't advance with your support request until you select the item you're needing support with. What a waste of money. I wish we wouldn't have gotten rid of our old one from years ago. It worked incredibly well.. this newer model is just junk. Another dissatisfied customer that's out $50+ bucks because I can't return it. Such a scam.. I'm surprised Amazon deflects these complaints and return requests onto the manufacturer with no help from them at all. All I did was waste time going down a rabbit hole on the manufacturer's website that does not help at all because this item is not even listed. So now I'm not only out the money, but I'm really pissed off. Don't waste your money on this folks!

Saving Christmas!
We have several cats, and they have never bothered the Christmas tree in years past. Or so I thought. We upgraded to a bigger, better tree this year, and our youngest cat (3 years old), who gets into everything, discovered the joys of indoor tree climbing! Now I understand why sometimes I would find the lower branches on our old tree on the floor. Anyway, a squirt bottle helped while I was in the room, but what about when I was away? I sought advice from my group of fellow crazy cat ladies, and one recommended this.Of course, as soon as I ordered it, my cat decided the tree was no fun after all.Until my husband was walking on the treadmill and said, as casually as though asking what was for dinner, "Who's in the tree?"I looked over and sure enough, there was our little mischief maker scaling the tree like it was a race to see if she could get to be the star on top before I reached for the squirt bottle. I won, if anyone's keeping score. My next step was to set up this little motion activated gadget. I put the batteries in, turned it on, and waved my hand in front of it a few times. I'd been led to believe it let out a gentle puff of air when triggered. It does not. No, it let's out a violent blast of air with a corresponding hissing sound.Excellent.I put it under the tree, not entirely convinced it would work. After all, the cat could come at the tree from several directions, but it was worth a try!I was sitting on the couch with my older cat on my lap not even an hour later when I heard the tell tale hissing sound. My youngest came sprinting across the room as though the hounds of the Baskervilles were hot on her tail and couched in front of me staring at the Christmas tree like it had tried to eat her! She stayed like that, staring warily at the threatening spector of holiday cheer for nearly 20 minutes! Now, almost 24 hours later, she still won't go anywhere near it. I'm feeling much more confident about putting ornaments on its branches now.Today, my husband walked a little too close and it hissed at him, making him jump and squeal. He's afraid of the tree now, too. So, I guess I won't need to worry about him shaking the presents!Picture of our menace BEFORE placing the sscat under the tree for cat tax. I will update if she makes friends with the new cat eating monster that lives under the tree, but for now, I'm quite pleased.
