So much better than plastic
My daughter has had this lunchbox send the beginning of the year. She takes her lunch to school with her every single day. She is in kindergarten. It has not broken. It keeps her food cold. It’s definitely worth the money. The weight of it is a little heavy for a kindergarten, but it’s not really the lunchbox of heavy between the lunchbox the food and ice pack. It’s definitely built to last she’ll be using it next year. I don’t foresee it breaking. The lunchbox itself is not leak proof but the containers that come inside with the silicone lids are leak proof

Love this lunchbox
This lunchbox is a good size for a elementary school lunch. The largest compartment isn't big enough for a sandwich unless you cut it in half and overlap the halves, but that's ok. A full size cut up apple also fills the large space. Have not had any issues with leaks when packing juicy fruits like pineapple or cantaloupe, but I wouldn't pack actual liquids in it. My 3 year old can easily open it, and I love that it's not plastic and can go in the dishwasher. The only downside is that it is heavy because it is metal, which makes for heavier backpacks, but that is worth the trade-offs in my book.

Plastic free excellence
I did a lot of research trying to find a high quality plastic free lunch box for my kiddos lunch. This box is perfect. We have both loved using it everyday. Great size with portions - feels very sturdy, hasn't leaked on us. Because I'm paranoid I do always wrap it in a rubber band, but it's never opened up in transit to and from school!

Well Made but too large for most kids lunch boxes

The perfect lunch container!
Our kid likes this lunch container very much! It’s easy to be opened and closed by a preschooler. The compartments are perfect, one for starch, one for protein, one for veggies, one for fruits, and one for a little bit of sweet treats — Everything is presentable in one single display and we can make the food look pretty and it has helped making the meal more appetizing. Well made and good quality, highly recommend.

Make the switch, dishwasher safe is life changing
Switched from the popular kids Ben boxes to these, love them!! They seem thin but everything fits great. Best part…. Dishwasher safe!!!Kids can open them easily and they even have figured out they can decorate with magnets.

Could DESTROY a little kids finger...
If you value your kids fingers... maybe find another lunch container. We wanted to get away from using plastic lunch containers, and glass isn't really safe for the kids at school. We've used two of these containers for a few months, and they've been pretty good. We wish they were a little deeper, or had a deep bottom side and a shallow top.One night while washing the stainless steel container, my wife's finger was pinched in the hinge and she screamed in pain. Luckily I had just come home, and ran over to her at the kitchen sink. The hinge had somehow pulled her the pad of her middle finger into it, and pinched it so bad that it pierced through twice, like an ear being pierced. I had to bend the metal top and bottom away from each other to barely free her finger. To their credit, the container is pretty strong. My wife's finger was bleeding, throbbing in pain. She was in tears, trying to stay calm in front of our kids but I knew she was hurt.I was mad that she was hurt, and we both agreed we'd never let the kids use these, and they were trash. We contacted the company and at first they were cordial, but once we asked for any kind of refund, or to return these to have them inspected, etc... they disappeared. So, here I am, leaving a review to warn others!I still have the containers, and I may bend the ends of the hinge to close in a way that NO little fingers could be pinched, but as they sit, there's NO WAY I'd let my kids use these. I could only imagine if this happened while they were using them at school and who would be able to get their fingers out, if anyone.
