A well made pan - but will it last?
At this point in my life I have purchased more non-stick pans than I can shake a stick at. Within the last couple of years I have purchased granite pans made by Kolex. While they held up well to scratching, the non-stick only lasted about 8 to 10 months with almost daily use. So this time around, and based on some testing by the creator of a You Tube channel called "Project Farm", I have decided to give the Green Pan a try.I have only used this pan a couple of times and it has performed very well so far. It has one of the best non-stick surfaces of any pan I have ever tried. It is a solid well made pan with good weight and nice balance. It also came completely assembled. The handle is securely attached and does not get hot when in use. Time will tell when it comes to durability, but what I have seen so far I like.Buying a Green Pan is somewhat of an experiment for me since I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan. And at this point I cannot really recommend it since I don't know if spending the extra money will be worth it in the long run. Time will tell and I will update my review either when this pan starts to stop being non-stick or has lasted longer than any other pan I have tried....we will see !!WHY THE GREEN PANBack in the day Teflon was king, but as most people know they eventually start to flake and those flakes can be poisonous. So starting about 10 years ago I made a concerted effort to get pans that were PFOA/PFAS free. However, finding one that is safe but also lasts a long time is not an easy task and contrary to popular belief, and what manufactures will tell you, there are no non-stick pans that last forever...period...end of story. Which is why I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan - they simply do not last. If you want a pan that lasts forever, buy stainless steel or cast iron. The best I have gotten from a non-stick pan has been about a year. Now that is using the pan 4-5 times a week, so take that for what it's worth. The reason I choose this pan is based on the testing of Project Farm mentioned earlier. He designs very unique tests to determine if a product holds up to the manufacturer's claims and how well it does against the competition...great channel and one I highly recommend. While the Green Pan was not the best in every category, it scored the highest in the durability test where a hardness test kit was used to measure the durability of the surface of all the test pans. The Green Pan was the only one to reach level 6...very impressive.Based on my experience, the hardness of the surface makes a huge difference in how long a non-stick pan will last. Some of the pans tested did a little better on some of the non-stick tests, but were very easily scratched. Even though I use mostly wooden or plastic utensils, if a pan's surface is too soft even wood can scratch it. Meaning it will start to flake at some point and even though it might not be toxic, I do not want that in my food. Plus, if the non-stick surface of the pan breaks down, logic dictates food will start to stick.I also took into consideration how I use the pan. While I do use it often for things like making bacon and frying eggs, I also do a lot of stir fry type meals where you would use a wooden spoon to mix and stir the contents, making considerable contact with the non-stick surface. In the last case the hardness of the pan is a key factor versus things like; evenness of heat (difference between hottest and coolest part of pan), and thermal efficiency (how quickly it heats up), which do not really factor in.So my decision to buy the Green Pan, and spend more than I normally do, is based mainly on the durability factor...for me that just makes sense - for you it might not !!

High Quality Non-Stick Pan -- Care Required!
The only pans I own are GreenPans. I was gifted a set by a family member when I moved out on my own for the first time and, after properly learning how to use these, I now have my kitchen equipped with them.QUALITY: I do enjoy that these are non-stick but safe to use and healthy enough to prep food on top of. The pan, like all GreenPans, is heavy to lift. Construction is solid and elegant. The handle never gets hot, ever.PERFORMANCE: Food cooks evenly, pan heats up fairly quickly. The non-stick on this pan is the best... Food will literally glide around the surface even if you don't put any cooking spray on the pan. Wonderful! I especially love this pan for eggs, because it's the perfect size and I can make them over easy without ever breaking a yolk.LONGEVITY: Here's the kicker -- if you do not treat these pans how they should be treated, they will ruin and in turn they will ruin your food. I made this mistake with my first GreenPan. You absolutely cannot use these pans with metal utensils. You cannot wash these pans with anything abrasive, including gentle abrasive on the back of a sponge. You cannot let a meal burn on this pan. You cannot leave grease in this pan for a few hours to clean it up later. These actions WILL RUIN your pan and it will become sticky when dry no matter how many times you wash it. In addition, your food will not cook properly and will always stick to the pan. If you only use plastic or wooden utensils, cook with care and do not burn, and was promptly with a gentle sponge these pans will last you for a very, very long time and you will enjoy the non-stick coating without any problem.

Really nice skillets.
Well worth the price. Truly non-stick, even with scrambled eggs, easy to clean, easy to recommend. I’d buy them again in a heartbeat

Good pan has lasted several years. A bit expensive.
These are good pans and well-built. Slightly expensive. Mine had lost some of its non-stickiness. I contacted support and followed their advice. They suggested a buildup had occurred and a Magic Eraser sponge or their sponge would remove and improve the non-stick properties and it did just that.

New Shooting Target
Please people do not waste your money on this project or anything GreenPan makes! I bought this after seeing a video online where people really liked it and shown it to be pretty tough, it took several weeks to get and after 4 times of using it I can't even get it clean! Everything I cook on it sticks and has since the 2nd time I used it, it welds eggs to it, I'm actually impressed because I use a steel pan and a cast iron pan and both work better at not sticking with eggs than this does. I mean I made 2 steaks on it the other night, it has been had scrubbed 2 times and gone through the dishwasher 3 times and this is the most clean I can get it! It took so long to deliver that after I got it the return window was almost closed so now I have a pan that is so bad I won't even try to use it and I can't even return. I pray that no one makes this mistake and buys more pans from this company, I have have $20 Walmart cancer giving pans that work way better than this and just got this based off a demonstration review and it's not a Walmart cancer pan... guess I am back to mt DE Buyer and Alclad pans, they are more $ but they aren't as bad to clean they don't stick as bad even though they aren't nonstick and they don't give the Walmart Teflon cancer... terrible product and it's literally a rip off, you get it when your return window is about up so by the time you realize how bad it is the company is laughing at you saying how you should have returned it already...
