Great Product
We were having a problem with what looked like family of mice that had moved into the loft space of the roof and would come down scavenging and wandering around the house interior.I have experience from long ago using the traditional wooden trap with the spring loaded snap over heavy wire/metal bar. All I seemed to be doing with the smaller ones was feeding them. But when I set up a larger trap, I did manage to put an end the foraging of two of the little beasts over a period of about three days. I figured I should have been far more successful. In exasperation I ordered a six pack of the Kraftex rat traps. They arrived late this afternoon and I was impressed by the design and functionality. The bait bucket unclips from underneath and can be loaded and clipped back in place with no danger at all to your own delicate appendages, should you for some reason already have the trap set, which of course, yo udo not have to do until you have the bait in place.Setting the trap is even more impressive and simple. Just squeeze the back portion of the trap together until you hear the click of the release mechanism snapping into place, and you are all set to go.My wife, who unfortunately is by no means mechanically adept, set the first trap like a pro and laid it out in the garage. Within 30 minutes of opening the package she had her first kill. Disposing of the catch in the woods was as simple. The trap is picked up from the back, and by squeezing it at the back, the jaws open and the catch drops out. No touching the victim at all. This is a well thought out and extremely effective way of eliminating any kind of rodent visitation. Kraftex, you certainly got it right. And thank you for the peanut butter tip. So simple to load as bait, and apparently very attractive to the rodents.

Kraft Rat Traps Work Really Well
I live in the mountains and have been dealing with mice and rats for years. This year one pesky rat got into the engine block of my car and chewed up wires. Not an inexpensive nesting for that rat! I have used wooden traps and they just knock them over, push them around or spring them, get the peanut butter and almonds and move on. I do not like to put any poison or sticky cardboard out because there are a lot of critters in the woods that do no harm but get caught up with the rodents. These rat traps work really well. They are substantial, easy instructions to use, the rats don't push them around - they get caught. The mice traps work very well too, they get caught. And, if you have the stomach for it, you can release the dead rodent and re-use the traps. I have them in the garage and under the house in the basement, luckily none of the rodents have gotten in the house. I have 2 big dogs and I keep them away from the traps - not that they would necessarily get caught in the trap, but they set the traps off and eat the peanut butter and almonds which defeats the purpose!

Not effective. Don't waste your money
I bought these to mitigate the rat problem in our backyard. I've tried the old school basic snap traps, which work well, but are a pain to set and dispose of. I thought I'd treat myself to these fancy little gems with their promise of easy loading and disposal. They are easy to load, and safe, but highly ineffective when it comes to trapping rats. Six of them come in a pack. I set all six with peanut butter as bait. Within a night, all of them had been discovered, but only one actually caught the rat, and not well. three had the bait eaten without going off, and the other two snapped, but failed to trap the rat. Now I'm out $20, some perfectly good peanut butter, and the rats have won. Do yourself a favor and go another way.

These work, but arent durable
These work really well, we have caught a handful of rats that have been plaguing our chicken coop for the last few months. The Pros-Easy to set, no dealing with injured fingers-Easy to move around when set-Every rat its caught was dead when we got to itThe Cons-We've had a couple break when they've sprung and not caught anything (the plastic cracks)-We find half of them sprung and empty, its a mysteryI removed one star due to the cracking of plastic that has happened. We have only used these a handful of times, so the durability is not ideal

Works great, easy and safe to set
Product works well, caught a rat just this am. Excellent customer service. I had one trap that malfunctioned and Kraftex sent me a new set in just a few days.Re using my review, still easy to use but they don't quite work. The lid snaps down around the rats head but doesn't kill it. I have had several instances where the rat was able to escape

Works Great, solving my Cotton Rat Problem
I have a Cotton Rat problem in an out building and didn't want to use tradition rat poison that endangers the snakes and hawks (which do a fine job of controlling the rats in summer months). So I tried the electronic zappers which ended up just feeding and torturing the rats without killing them. Then I tried RatX. They ate the product but there was no evidence of any success killing rats. I suspect not.So I "went traditional" (sort of) and got a 6-pack of the Kraftex traps. I loaded them up with some dry dog food and got one rat, however, some of the other traps were knocked over, with the dog food gone, and the traps still set. After that, no rats were caught, until...Break out the peanut butter (these traps have little cups you can fill). That worked. Works great. Getting regular rat action now with very clean kills. And a nice bonus is, the rats never actually get the peanut butter so I just dump the rat and reset the trap... easy, clean, effective and cheap. The only thing better is a bunch of big rat snakes, but they are off duty this time of year (late winter).

Sturdy, powerful and does the job.
Good, sturdy rat traps. We use nutella as bait as it requires the rat to work at trying to get the bait forcing them to step on to the trigger. Rats cant resist nutella whereas dry bait could be removed without the trap triggering. These traps a sturdy and powerful. The bait pot is removable making it easy to put the bait in and the trap has a couple of holes so can be secured so that an unsuccessful kill doesn't result in the rat running off with your trap.

Ottime anche per i tarponi
Funzionano molto bene (attenti alle dita), molto efficaci, inserire l'esca da sotto tramite il tappo e toccare la trappola con dei guanti per non inquinare la trappola con odore umano.
