Great product and will work with the Honeywell Lyric T5 which has a square mounting base. Who says a square peg won't fit in a round hole hasn't tried this yet...

I'm not slamming the manufacturing of this product, but as some have said it is a flimsy-like plastic and you will probably need some kind of extra support to hold it flat on the wall -- I cannot disagree with that. I got this because the old thermostat was larger than the Nest. It seemed to be plate was large enough and would cover the old paint. The Nest came with a wall plate and I ended up using it instead as it was a hard plastic. Then when a hardware store and had them match the new paint and now you'd never know. Packaging was great and so was the delivery time.

This is a terrible product and a complete waste of money. Despite what it looks like in the pictures, this "plate" is a flimsy piece of plastic that uses double sided tape to stay on the wall so it doesnt even sit flush (unlike most plates that use the same screws securing the thermostat itself). Don't waste your time here and go buy an actual stainless backing plate for the same price elsewhere.

Looks great! Fits perfectly. As expected. Price may be a little high for what it is though.

Cheap, but looks good
