Fairly easy to install.
Used a hand drill to start the screws, but had to finish with a regular screwdriver due to the bit being too short for the angle of their placement. Aside from that they're sturdy and look amazing.

Great quality!
I was so nervous to buy these because the old ones made an imprint onto the wall because they have been there since the 1980’s and these did the job! Covered the imprint seamlessly. Great quality for the price point!

Excellent hardware
For you DIYers. Mark your studs in the wall (it's very important to find center of the stud.) Figure out where you want your handrail (height is typically 33" to 37") and then put a witness mark in the bottom holes (of the hardware) for the top and the bottom hardware. Then pop a chalk line of those two bottom marks. Now you'll have a perfect mounting level for your handrail. It's very important to find center of thr stud because the top two holes are 3/4" on center and a stud is only 1 1/2" wide, so it doesn't give you a lot of stud to play with. The screws are sturdy enough but make sure you pre-drill all the holes. I put a 2" screw in the bottom holes just because I wanted to be sure there would be no problems down the road. Hope this helps some of you..!

Shipping was poor
I needed this to replace a broken bracket on my heavily traveled staircase. I had opted for next day delivery since the color was not available for same day delivery. It shipped from out of state ( Midwest), eventually got to the CT fed ex center only to be sent back to the Midwest and then returned to CT for delivery. Long and short what was supposed to be delivered by Wednesday of 1 week wasn’t delivered until Sunday or Monday of the next week. I would not order this again if it is needed right away. The product looks great and is of good quality, but shipping is nightmarish. Thus the reason for the 4 star.
