Buy this if you think your well/spring will ever go dry.
They are not very good at explaining this switch's features to someone who does not already know how it works. The advantage of this pressure switch design is that is cuts off power to the pump if the supply line ever loses water. So if your well or spring ever goes dry (or below the level of your supply intake line) or if your supply line develops a leak, this pressure switch will turn off the pump. If you do not have a pressure switch with a cut off, the pump will run indefinitely; and without water the pump will probably burn up.They also do not mention that you have to manually reset the cutoff switch when the water supply becomes available again. If you click on the view of the back side of the switch you will see where the cut off mechanism is located. There is a lever which moves when the cut off is activated. When the water becomes available again, you hold down the lever manually and this primes the pump. When the pump is running normally, you let go of the lever and everything is reset to normal. Two other points. Schneider Electric is an extremely reliable company with quality products. This particular switch is set up for 20 psi ON and 40 psi OFF operation which is OK but rather low for a modern house (usually 30/50) but is good if you have an older home with older plumbing where you do not want extra pressure.

Pumped Up
Have used Square D pressure regulators for years. Bought this as a backup for one that has been in service for 10 years. Especially like this styles because it has an on/off switch which allows us to turn the water off for extended absences at our cottage.

low pressure shut off has saved my bacon
Added to a 1hp irrigation pump. I like the low pressure shut off feature because my cistern keeps running out of water. The switch will shut off the pump when it runs dry, saving me a repair job! It does a great job at cycling the pump, and the adjustable set points allowed me to run exactly when needed.

They work for years and years
I have been using square D pressure switches for years and they work great. You might have to file the points after 8 or 10 years of use. Other than that, just install them and turn on the water. I like the 30/50 better than the 20/40.....more water pressure. If your plumbing can handle the extra pressure.

Switch has low pressure cutout with manual reset
Note that this switch has low pressure cutout that must be manually reset on initial startup and any time pressure on system drops below 10psi

Useless Product
I live 20 miles from the nearest town and use a pressure switch on my well system. In May 2017 I ordered two of these switches, one as a replacement on an irrigation system pump the other as a backup for my house pump.Last week the house switch failed and I replaced it with the backup; the backup did not work. Schneider would not do anything; they told me I needed to contact Amazon; Amazon does not take returns on items older than 5 months. So I'm stuck with a useless $20 switch. I expected more from Schneider.
