Psychology: Themes and Variations, 9th Edition

it's in good condition beside its use.

It worked well as a text book for my intro to psychology class but it came almost half covered in pink construction paper taped over much of the cover with packing tape. I'm giving it four stars because to me personally, it wasn't very interesting and was a bit long winded, but it provided very clear, easy to absorb and understand information and is pretty great as a text book or if you're interested in psychology. I also appreciated the descriptive diagrams and pictures.

This textbook is required for one of our college courses for the psych program. It is used as a comprehensive study of psychology, so we use it is for GRE prep. It is by far one of my favorite textbooks. It is easily laid out. It is a TON of material and literally discusses almost every psychological principle. It's dense, but easy to consume in my opinion. I always refer to it when I need a refresher on a principle or need to recap some material. I definitely recommend for someone needing a well-rounded exam of psychology!

The condition I got the book in is great. Unfortunately, it was the wrong book for my class but the professor said it wouldn't be an issue. It has all the information I need for my class.

Very science heavy, not so philosophically heavy (being that psych is supposed to be a kind of middle point of the two). Got it for class and rarely used it but I'm sure it would be great to have if someone is just learning themselves.

Having the ability to rent this textbook for a small fraction of the price that it is listed for has definitely helped out with costs of starting school and eased some stress about that. The book arrived well loved but still functional and I cannot be happier.

This item did not meet my expectations. I purchased this International Version of "Psychology: Themes and Variations, 9th ed" by Wayne Weiten instead of purchasing the ridiculously expensive US version. Although I have done that successfully in the past, the international version of this book does NOT mirror the US version. The chapters are organized differently so they page numbers are different. Too hard to use as a substitute for the US version when doing assigned readings...it's time-consuming to figure out what I'm actually supposed to be reading. If you're a student in the US and you need this book for class, I recommend paying the extra cash to get the US version. (No idea why students in the US have to pay substantially more than students in the UK for textbooks....)

This book was suggested by our professor and for sure this is the best ever Psychology book to study. It contains my whole syllabus and the print, pages, wording, pictures and figures are simply awesome.Love it.Thank you Amazon💚
