Butane lighters can be very finicky on what type of butane they take.. This is not a cheap lighter.. but the butane from the same company.. the filling tube will fit.. no adaptor needed. Works great for me.

Q: How do you disassemble this lighter?

I don't. If I need it repaired, I will send it to the manufacturer.

Q: Will this cigar lighter be too strong to light a regular cigarette?

Hello, No, there is no difference in the "strength" of the flame. You can just as easily light a cigar or a cigarette. It's more about the way it igntes the tip.
