It holds
I had a 55 lbs Delta anchor that dragged all the time but this anchor holy cow at the holding power! I anchored at kennedy space center waiting for a storm to pass, 4-6 foot swells 1 of the anchor bridle snubbers broke then the line but the anchor never moved.

but for my use it performs incredibly and has allowed me to be a far less stressed and far happier boater. Sets very quickly
Absolutely phenomenal anchor. Compared to the Bruce claw and spade I used previously, this anchor is magic on all counts: initial set, hold, reset, recovery. I don't anchor for extended periods of time, but for my use it performs incredibly and has allowed me to be a far less stressed and far happier boater. Sets very quickly, so no resetting boat position several times before nailing my spot. Again, hold and recover are excellent. Really has made my boating experience much better than it was pre Mantus.Update 2016: tons of use on this anchor. It is simply amazing. My wife and I are still floored by its responsiveness and hold. Did tons of research before buying this giving me a high expectation, but this anchor has and continues to exceed all expectations on a regular basis.

2.5lb Galvanized Dinghy Anchor for Sea-Doo Spark's.
Super impressed. I ordered 2, one for each ski but only one showed up before we left for our trip. No problem because it's rated for 1000lbs, 0-16' depth, <30 knot wind and the ski's are 420lbs each so I'm putting 840lbs on it and it worked flawlessly. I attached a 6' leader chain and used the 3 to 1 Scope ratio for the rode and a back line to shore. Just like the video's on YT, I pulled it out of the bag, gave it a toss on the beach and while my friends looked on, pulled the rope while it disappeared into the sand. "mic drop!"Amazing. We've tried the grappling hook style, mushroom or sand bags and they all break loose and drift. Keep in mind all the lakes we go to are sand/ mud bottom. When the usual storm rolled in it stayed fast and held the entire 4 day trip with 2 ski's on it. We beach camp and I can sleep good at night knowing I can trust this anchor.

Awesome anchor!!
I took all the rave reviews with a grain of salt when I bought this anchor, but wow they were spot-on! This anchor holds like crazy in muck/sand. The 8lb anchor holds my 21' open bow like it's tied to the dock. It's a tad big - I need to be careful packing it into the bow storage - but worth it. I'm using 6' of 5/16" chain with it.

I was anchored next to the ferries when a huge oil rig (no flat barge) came by and sucked a ton of water out of the channel
On vacation right now in Port Aransas with two 8lb anchors (13lb were out of stock). Anchoring parallel with grassline and the anchors hold in every bottom I've set them in so far. Mud, grass, sand, shell, combination of all and they set right away. I will never have to struggle or jump out of the boat to stomp an anchor in the mud again. Yesterday we were anchored at mud island and the wind picked up to 30 mph gusts and one anchor was holding the boat facing the wind. I was anchored next to the ferries when a huge oil rig (no flat barge) came by and sucked a ton of water out of the channel. The boat shifted a little and when the water pushed us back in the anchors were still holding. These things set so fast that I suspect if they were to break loose in a funky situation, they would dig right back in and you wouldn't notice. I'm using these on a 21ft mako bay boat. It's a heavy bay boat with sides, not one of those flat ones. With 3 people, 130lb dog, kicker motor, tackle, etc, I'm just a little shy of 4000lbs. I've been fishing down here since I was a kid...can't believe we struggled all those years with garbage anchors. Thank you for making a real anchor that works.

I can finally sleep well.
I chose the 35lb model for my 30ft sailboat and could not be happier with my decision. This anchor sets immediately and has absolutely no problem with reseting. There is no better feeling then heading to shore for the day and not having to worry about will the boat be there when I get back. It's also a huge plus being able to sleep well knowing you're going to wake up in the same place. I also got the chance to ride out a mean storm with 50kts true wind, and my girl never moved. The next day I drove down to check the anchor only not to find the anchor. The anchor plowed itself deep into the bottom only leaving the chain sticking out, it's no wonder the boat never moved. But the amazing part is it was no trouble retrieving the anchor. I just want to thank Mantus for making my boating experience easier and more enjoyable. You guys make one hell of a product thank you again.

Worked Great
Our boat came with a danforth style anchor and no matter what we tried the anchor would not stay set. Plenty of rode, plenty of scope, and we still had to re-set several times throughout the boating day. Unfortunately, we bought our Mantus late in the boating season and only have had a few opportunities to use it, but when we did, it worked GREAT. It set immediately and held tight with some gusty winds in the Chesapeake mud/sand. I also really like that it can be broken down quickly and stored flat, saving space. We are looking forward to next year and really putting it to the test (why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) but so far we are confident it won't be breaking loose as our "old style" anchor otherwise would.

It bites where other anchors won’t
My delta anchor would drag in the lightest of winds. This anchor sets so hard, I have to use a snubber on windy days so the bow of my Meridian 391 will not get yanked off. Anchor and forget about it
