Practice Soldering Kit
Nice practice kit for soldering. I gave it 4 stars because some of the parts are small and my conical tip was a little bit too larger to make small soldering connections but it still worked out well and the clock is working.

Affordable clock project
Fairly simple alarm clock project for the price. Beginner friendly. It doesn't take long to assemble. Solid board quality. Components and finish build work as expected. The instructions on the back of the board on how to set the clock is a plus.

Can be Assembled in 15 minutes!
Watch some YouTube videos on this specific kit to get some great hints. Polarity tips are good in the instructions, but when you place components, bend the legs outward from the component to help hold it in place when you start to solder.Another tip I am working on is '2 seconds of heat max' (I am set at 650F with a Weller) and then solder. It seems to work. The board is forgiving for sloppy work, and I got the clock fired up first time.

Fun project with my daughter
My daughter watched me building an antenna and asked if she could build something. I ordered the clock kit and I explained how the parts worked. It took us 15 minutes to build the clock and fire it up. Works great.

Not a great clock
Easy to build up board with just basic soldering skills. Some knowledge of electronic parts would be a help though. The crystal used is of a low quality as the time keeping is poor. Probably loses about 3-4 minutes in 24 hours. The loss is worse using the battery pack than with the power cord supplied. Fun project, but better clock kits are available.

Not very accurate over several days and weeks.
I bought and assembled two of these kits, neither kept accurate time over several days. It is a great kit for practice soldering however!

Nice and Easy
I like that the setting instructions are printed right on the board, so you don't have to keep a separate manual. Mine ran a little slow at first, but I adjusted the speed and it's now pretty accurate. Easy to solder and can run on batteries (2 AAs) or USB. Comes with cable. Brightness is adjustable.
