I got this plate to mount an Intrepid MKV 4x5 camera to a tripod. This plate has both a 3/8" and 1/4" screws that match up to the Intrepid, and using both screws keeps the plate from turning. Unlike a plate for a long lens, this one is flat (no lip), so it will fit most things. There is also padding on top to help with protection/slippage. The screws both tighten okay, but you have to be careful of the handles on them catching each other and loosening one as you tighten the other.The plate fits both a RRS ballhead and an ARCA Swiss with a bit of fine tuning on the clamp.Its a pretty nice plate for the money. Fit and finish are okay. I have other ARCA and RRS plates, and honestly, it's probably not as nice as them, but it is a fraction of the price.

I've been using this as a tripod foot extension on my Sigma C 150-600mm lens for the past two years. It's the perfect length for that purpose, both for tripod mounting balance and acting as a carry handle. I attached a nut up against the front edge of the lens' tripod foot to prevent any swiveling of the plate. 10/10.

Like the plate, works well. Uncomfortable with the length of the screws, only holding by a few threads. Ordered longer screws.

I have a large spotting scope on a Kimball mount and this plate works great thus allowing me to perfectly balance it. I especially like the small screw 'stops' on each end which prevents it from sliding off.
