Great Replacement Window Motor for Firebird / Camaro
Delighted! Purchased one to replace the drivers side window motor in my 02 Pontiac Firebird. (It was having the problem where the window goes up most of the way and then stops - give it a few minutes and try again - it would go up a little more) It was a pretty easy part replacement - got a photo out of the forums and watched a video online to get the idea. Then just drilled out the rivets holding the the old one in place and this one was a plug and play replacement with the included nuts/bolts (instead of riveting) to anchor it in place. The power harness in the car snaps right onto the end of this one just like the original. Best of all the new motor works great! You don't realize how much you use that window until you have to park and go in everywhere that you would normally take the drive thru - so my drivers side has gotten quite a workout since I put it in there and it's solid! I was so pleased with the purchase price & warranty that I came back and bought a second one to replace the passenger side as well. (granted, the DS sees most of the action but I'd already installed the autotrix wiring fix on my passenger window (to give it more power to fix the super slow motion) so I knew that motor had already struggled) Both sides are now installed (driver side for 2 months, passenger side for 1 month) and the windows are working very well! I can see why the guys in the forums steered me towards Dorman for my replacement.

Worked great
The motor worked with no issues and came with the appropriate hardware to install it. However whoever designed the camero window regulator can slam their hand in a door jamb

Did not come with mounting hardware as pictured but as good as OEM
This is the 4th window motor I have put into this Astro van in 10 years. This was the second I bought from Amazon. This one did not come with the mounting hardware as pictured but fit perfectly and I reused the nuts and bolts from motor #3 to mount it. Original window motors are mounted with rivets. When I mounted the second motor after the original burned out, I used a rivet gun just like the factory. What a pain that was. Now I use the screws that came with the 3rd motor. I do not know why the drivers side window eats motors but at around $30 every 2-3 years I guess I will keep buying them. The amazon motor is just like the OEM motor only 1/5th the price (my first replacement was an OEM for $150) and they all seem to last about the same amount of time, so I gave this motor 4 stars for quality and took one star off for not having the pictured nuts and bolts. To make mounting easier put some double sided tape on your finger to hold the screw in place while you tighten the nut. It also helps to have the window down for the top two screws and up for the bottom two, at least that is true on my 2000 van.

F-body power window dead? Here ya go!
If you have a dead power window in your 4th gen F-body, this is for you. The power window in my Camaro started going up really slow. Then it quit completely. Put this in, and honestly, it works better than ever. Old GM motor never was very speedy. Also, comes with bolts make install. If you've never done this, here's the tip. Search the web for power window motor install and find the guy with the illustrated write-up. Follow his advice, and leave him a little tip for his effort, cause he is right on the spot. The only thing I can add to his instructions are this: if the motor won't engage on the first try, don't waste your time like I did trying to get the gears to engage. Use a pliers and gently clock the motor gear a very small turn. Repeat until in pops right in. Button everything back up and let the window races begin!

Does the job.
It's been installed for 2 months now. Works well. Installation was a challenge. There was a youtube video for it that was perfect but didn't show the tiny details that I needed. In testing the noise level, it's roughly the same. Plus, it only makes the noise when you use it, for 3-5 seconds. Make certain you follow the instructions you find online carefully. I drilled the screw holes to make it bigger and went one size too big.**Update. I'm at 6 months now. Still working. Noise isn't an issue. Functions exactly like my old motor. I would buy it again. Don't buy it from any auto-parts store or even the Dealerships. It's exactly the same. They are made in the same factory in China. They will tell you there's more than one, but there's not.

Ups and Downs
I really liked this product because it was easy to install and it got my windows working again. Having a 95 camaro, the windows didn't go down, so I opened up the door, and the window motors were dead. I immediately tried to look for a replacement because the weather is really hot and the AC didn't work at the time. I was very pleased when all you had to do was slide the jack into the window motor and it worked perfectly fine. The window would go up and down, no problem. However there was a problem when I went to the passenger window. I installed the window motor and it worked for a few seconds but then stopped working. I issued a replacement, but that didn't work either. The replacement they sent me was a little worn, so I'm not sure if it had to do with the condition because the new one only worked for a couple seconds. I was charged for the replacement, so I'm really not sure whether it was the motor or the cars wiring because the driver's side worked just fine. Overall, I think it's a great product but the fact that I got charged for the replacement and passenger motor didn't work, I'll give it a 3 star rating

Great product!
It was all nice and dandy until it was time to put it back in the car, very hard to get the screws and the nuts without them falling out. Opted out to go to Harbor Freight and bought some 1/4 rivets and a rivet gun for only $17.00 popped them rivets on in less than three minutes. Motor works really good! Installation is not as easy as it seems.

Totalmente satisfecho
El producto llegó a tiempo y nuevo. La instalación realmente es muy sencilla, lo pude hacer yo mismo viendo tutoriales en Youtube. Mi camioneta es una Chevrolet Astro Van 95 y le quedó como el original.

Works and fits well
These were a great value compared to the dealer. They fit and work well. Still working great after 2 years installed. Although they don't see much use

Fits perfect
Works great. If your buying for fbody, you will need washers. The screws are small and if it you over tight it will go thru the fiber glass. Over time it will prob rip thru the fiberglass.
