Great addition for DIY router table
I bought this to use with a DIY router table I have build into a workbench and it has been an excellent addition to the setup from both a safety and convenience perspective. I was able to mount this on the leg of my bench so that I can knock the large off paddle with my knee to quickly turn off the router once I've finished my cut, which is infinitely easier and safer than fumbling around under the bench for the router's off switch when I'm finished with it, I can just leave the router with the switch in the on position and use the on button on this instead to activate it. I have also tested and confirm that this switch has a safety cutout, so that if you suffer a power cut while the plugged in device is in operation, it will not come back on when the power is restored until you hit the on button again.Having the plug sockets built into it makes it way easier to use and more flexible than the numerous other similar items available that require you to wire your device directly in, I'm no kind of expert with electrics so was so much easier to add this to my setup and didn't require removing the plug from my router, plus if I ever change my setup I won't have to do any re-wiring, just unplug and move it. It also means I can plug this in through my shop vac with power take off for easy integration with dust extractionHighly recommended for any static power tool that doesn't already have a safety switch built in

Works Well
Purchased to fit below my wood turning lathe (around knee height) as the on/off switch is located over to the right on the actual lathe and not easy to get to when turning. With this in place a quick tap with the knee and the lathe shut down :)Only had to use it in an emergency once so far BUT it worked and that was the important thing.Very pleased with it overall, could do with a longer Socket trailing cable but modified it myself (very easy to do) to make it fit where I needed.Purchased two more now, one for my sons lathe and another for the bandsaw.Very happy with them :)

Does the job well
Wanted this as a safety feature on the workstation for my mitre-saw, which at present plugs straight into the mains, so that an emergency stop and cut-out can be achieved by a knee if necessary. Next time, though, will get the cheaper version that you wire it up myself, because it doesn't seem that complicated.

Excellent gadget.
I've got this on the wall next to my table saw to make it easier to power on and off.The power off button on the saw is small and having this oversized shut off button helps.Highly recommended bit of kit.The big red off button make it easy to nudge it with your elbow or knee to power it off.

Well made, easy to use
I have this wall mounted next to my main work area. I have suspended sockets plugged into this, and run dust extraction and power tools through it. I can therefore use this as a wall mounted master switch to turn everyon and off as necessary. It does exactly what I need it to do, and the extra feature is that it needs to be switched on again if there is a power cut, i.e. no tools will be on when the power is restored.

Concerns over ratings, safety and reliability
I bought this switch to fit to a homemade router table, providing a safer means of controlling an enclosed router. I specifically bought this switch as it claimed it would be able to handle the 2400W motor I have, where most NVR switches are rated to 2200W max.Starting with the good bits, it's nicely made with a fully enclosed plastic body featuring slotted mounting tabs on the back at either end. It could be quite a bit smaller, most of the size dictated by the large emergency stop paddle on the front. It's nice to see a stop flap design that allows you to access the 'on' button without having to lift the flap up, but recesses it enough that you won't push it accidentally. The trailing socket is also of good quality, as are the cable entry grommets. One of the reasons I bought this were the claimed heavy duty cables, but I didn't find this to be the case. The cables are thin, probably a 1 mm2 cross section at most, and are just ordinary three-core flex. Nothing special or heavy duty about them. When I plugged the switch in it vibrated loudly when it was switched on, which indicates something in the magnetic latching coil of the NVR component itself wasn't latching correctly. That didn't suggest a switch of very high quality, and given the questionable rating of the cables provided I returned it. Workshop safety is a high priority for me, as it should be for anyone, and when I fit a switch like this to a powerful machine I need to be confident that it will do its job reliably. I didn't have that confidence in this product, and would not recommend it unless the issues outlined are addressed or at least clarified.
