Great price and quality!
Beautiful monitor! After browsing for days I finally settled on this one. I really wanted a curve monitor but they were all quite expensive and the ones that are in the mid 200$ range don't have up to date technology and are a few years old.Cosmetically this monitor is stunning! The "gold" features have a very fine shimmer finish which is so pretty. The back has a glossy white finish, I left the protective film on mine since it's against a wall. The stand is pretty stable and has rubber feet to prevent it from moving. I love the power on light, it's so minimal about as thick as a tack, it has a cool white light that won't bother you while watching movies in the dark. The monitor is very thin however, the black border between the frame and the monitor itself is about 3cm, while the site pictures portrays it as being very minimal to nonexistent. I like that the screen is matte which is a huge plus for me. I have a small lamp on my desk and I have no reflection issues. It came nicely packaged with the power cord, a hdmi cable, and quick start guide. There was no manual or warranty information. I did go to their website where you can find a manual, product registration, and get warranty info. They also have software downloads (optional) like iMenu, esaver, and screen+. iMenu is an alternative way to change your monitor settings through a software with a mouse, instead of using the buttons in the back of the monitor. I found it quite helpful since it takes some getting use to the buttons since you can't see them you are blindly pressing buttons. The AOC e-Saver features Smart Shutdown functions for your monitors, allows your monitor to timely shutdown when PC unit is at any status (On, Off, Sleep or Screen Saver); the actual shutdown time depends on your preferences. Screen+ software is a desktop screen splitting tool that divides your screen into multiple windows depending on your preference. The difference between my old monitor (24" Acer G246HL) and this just blows me away. The colors are so vivid and crisp. I was afraid of getting anything bigger than 24" with 1080p because everything seems to look stretched out and big in monitors I've seen before, but it's not an issue with this monitor. Right out the box and plugged in, it looked good but after I calibrate the monitor and made some adjustments it looked even better than I could ask for.The only downfall is that it is not vesa compatible, so you can't mount it, however I already knew that before purchasing. I have seen some clever DIY's though and I have yet to see any adapters for this model.Overall, I am very happy with it and will update my review after a few months if necessary.

Ok, um, wow ~
Value for the money: 5-stars. Picture quality 4-stars, (can't quite get the crispness that I'm looking for in it's text/typed word ecosystem.) And sorry AOC you're getting 3-stars on easy to use for one very specific thing which I'll describe next. But to be fair let me first say, it was super easy to replace my previous monitor with this one. Literally, unplug and disconnect the old monitor and replace this one and voila. But the 3-stars is because you CANNOT change the screen brightness, screen contrast and night-light brightness on your screen using your mouse or your keypad. You have to push manual buttons on THE BACK of the screen, which mind you... you cannot see, you just have to feel them, uh-huh, FEEL THEM to know which super-old school analog buttons (is the the early 90's?) to push to modify your screen features. I was so shocked when the toll-free AOC tech support walked me through how to change the screen brightness and intensity that I laughed my head off and turned kina bitchy, mocking the technology. Heavy sigh, I eventually rolled over and went with, lumbering through clicking buttons (blindly because they are out of site) click click click to get the screen luminescence that made sense. PS this baby comes pre-set WICKED BRIGHT. And wicked intense... by the time I got service tech on the line and plead for relief... I was already kina motion sick. JFYI if you're motion sick sensitive, or had to walk out of Blair Witch Project in 1999 - then beware, this monitor is intense. I'm just a boring mgmt consultant, definitely not gaming or doing anything in motion graphics. And I've honestly had a motion headache all day. I'm sure I'll get used to it. But wow, it's super impressive to sit in front of and I'm giggling all the way to the bank that this major office/tech upgrade was less than $200.

Fine Monitor Until it Failed After 3 months
This monitor worked well with no problems until the bottom half of the screen turned to digital blurs after 3 months. The AOC support seems fine - they arranged for a repair/replace return with no hassle, though I can't comment on their replacement as the monitor was broken during shipment to their repair facility.

nice looking monitor
First off had to return this monitor had problems with it shortly after I started using it some of the pixels got stuck on green color so I had a bunch of dots on screen in dark places in my games was where it was the worst. Tried to fix it with undead pixel put no go it made it worse for a little bit and you can't adjust picture sharpness when using hdmi only with vga cable. Now on to the things I liked about the monitor loved the curve of the screen, the stand is real nice metal instead of plastic so it is nice and stable no wiggling. The gold is not as bright as the picture shows its more of a dark gold. The OSD menu is easy to use and a lot better then some monitors I've had in the past. Colors really pop on this monitor in games looks great. If not for the screen problems I would have kept it.

A Great Monitor with Stunning Picture and Video Quality at a Very Good Price
This monitor is great all the way around. The price is very reasonable, picture quality is fantastic and the colors are stunning. AOC has been around for a very long time and very well known for their monitors. You can't beat their warranty. The workmanship and materials used in the making of their monitors is high quality not cheap plastic as is used in some of the other monitors I've looked at. I especially like the curvature of this monitor which can give you a feeling of spaciousness when you are viewing pictures and videos ( at least it does me). I highly recommend this monitor.
