I use the impact everyday for automotive and still going strong years later. Only issue I had was it got hot and would stop working after hours of use building a deck but once it cooled down it worked just a good as new. Great price too.

Not even an hour's operating time on the drill and it died. Light works great, but the drill motor is dead. Fantastic! Especially since I went Makita because of their rep. Now I get to spend a bunch of time trying to figure it if I can get a replacement or just take it in the you-know-where because I got it off AmazonEDIT: If the battery level drops to a certain point the drill stops, but the light will light up. Older drills will continue to try and run but it appears Makita has a cut off point where the drill stops "trying" to function unlike other/older cordless drills where you can grind the last bit of juice out of it (and probably damage the motor/battery?) Last ditch troubleshooting I swapped battery and discovered it wasn't the drill, but operator error.

The drill and impact work great have used them continually with hanging dry wall to drilling holes to run wires through 2x4s. Haven't had any problems. Ran the impact multiple times for more then 12 hrs straight never over heated and the battery held up good. The only down side would be the light it is just an average light not very bright but will do in a emergency.

Really like the impact driver. It’s a beast. Two good drills for the price is hard to beat. The regular drill was also good but I used very infrequently for about 7 months before it went bad on me. Literally starting smoking drilling a hole and the fumes were so bad I threw it away rather then try and return or deal with it. I was drilling a hole into a tree and it performed great except out of nowhere it started smoking on me. Was a 50 degree day so it wasn’t hot and wasn’t forced. The impact driver on the other hand I use daily for past 7 months and no problems. Would have paid that price just for the impact but I wish the regular drill didn’t stink because it really had some power to it. I did like the bag and use it to carry little tools as I have toolboxes, and the charger is perfect too. The drills seem to be on par or best my milwuakee and dewalt impacts hit joy as good as the triple hammer impact from metabo..I think the drills were an older version because they came out in white but still as much power as my newly colored blues. Would buy this drill set again even though the regular drill failed, just because this is literally my only makita tool out of 30-40 that have died before years of hard use. So I think it’s a one off , my experience isn’t norm.

I couldn't be happier!Exactly what I expected from Makita. I will say the light is a bit of a joke. it isn't bright or a wide enough beam to be useful. At least not compared to using the cell phone light and having a reserve battery for the emergency roadside repair. And yes the drill ran a small die grinder wheel with plenty extra power. All that said the light was a nice thought and they didn't need to put it in but they did. Just goes to show Makita cares about us the customer.The charger is Fast! I have been impressed with it. The size is a bit much but you get use to it.Happy with the batteries on these drills but anything bigger will suck them dry. Would be nice to have an option for another battery.Hope this helps.

Great drill set. Mikita is known for quality and this drill is no exception. Lighter than the older drills. You can’t go wrong with this drill. Good power and long lasting battery life.

購入後、数回しか使用していないのですが、久しぶりに使おうと思い充電したのですが、充電エラーでバッテリーが駄目になりました。回数的に10回くらいしか使用していないので初期不良扱いになると思うのですが、期間がだいぶ空いているので保証対応が出来ません。また、インパクトドライバーのモーター部分からモーターが回る瞬間火花が散って今にも壊れそうです。自分の個体がたまたま粗悪品だったのか全体的に製品が駄目なのか分からないですが、全くおすすめ出来ません。また、ソケットのサイズが日本のサイズと合わないので確実にソケットが取れなくなります。

日本仕様・日本のビットがすぐに使えます。と書いてありますが、インパクトに関しては日本のビットは使えませんでした。本当に日本仕様にしているか疑いがあります。自分は、日本仕様のビットが使えるようアンビルを交換しました。すると、ちゃんと使えるようになりました。まぁ、値段が値段だから仕方ないのかなぁ…残念です。

商品はすぐに届きました。ただ日本のビットが使えるように日本仕様ですというのは微妙でした。パネリードのビットを付けたら抜けなくなり今修理に出してます。ドリルの方は問題なく使えてます。

インパクトドライバーに日本製のビットを入れてもロックされずに抜けてしまいます。返品してよろしいでしょうか？

新品から穴空けを2回しただけでビットが取れなくなって修理しようとしたけど海外のやつだからってマキタの人にうちでは修理出来ませんって言われて購入した所に電話しようとしたら電話番号が無く住所が書いて有ったので調べて電話をしたら使われて無い電話で新品なのに今だに使えない状態です。
