So far love it
I had the Neato Botvac D7 for years. That machine started off great, however shortly begin giving us issues disconnecting, not recognizing the floor plan, failed parts that my husband replaced several times, app failure. Neato didn't make improvements to the app to fix the issues and finally it was just dead.I considered irobot but couldn't afford it with our crap economy right now, so I saw this shark. I've had other shark products and loved them so I wanted to try this one and luckily snagged it on sale. So far I'm in love with this vacuum, far superior to the almost $1000 Neato I had. Some people complained about the battery life, the fact that you have to swap out the moping head, and that it needs to doc to empty often. However, none of those both me. Some things are the way they are in order to keep the machine small and lightweight. It is slower than my old Neato and has to charge more often, but I'll tell you that it does a MUCH better job actually picking up debris than my old one. I'm glad its slower, as it should be. How can it clean when its zipping around your house? The mop head should be changed out because you need to fill the reservoir and change the cleaning pad anyway, so who cares. Plus, you're likely not going to mop every day.The app functions well and is easy to use. This mapped my 3000 sq home 1st time no prob. I added no go zones and identified rugs easily. The app lets you schedule a whole house cleaning but I'm sure you could also schedule room or specific zone cleanings if you create other maps just for those areas, but haven't tried it yet. I clean my whole home every day. So far I love it. We'll see if any issues arise after a while.

Woefully disappointing
Let me start off by saying that I am a proud and happy owner of a Shark AI Robot with a Self Empty bin.My kiddo has recently become more mobile and I find myself having to vacuum and mop more often. Prior, Id let the Shark vacuum then mop by hand. That’s become more difficult since my kid is dropping around bits of fruit that will be smeared by the Robot only spreading the stickiness everywhere.I was like a kid on Christmas when I saw this model is $300 off for Black Friday. I purchased it despite the red flags since I was so happy with my prior model. The battery life is laughably short on this one. Even compared to my other model which is 2 years old at this point. I can vacuum the entire first floor twice with the old model. With this model, at best I can do it once before it needs to charge itself which takes 3-4 hours. I don’t understand how this model is so much worse. Its like if you bought a new iPhone that has a better Camera but only has 2 hours of battery life and a 6 hour recharge. Heck I wish it was actually better. Spoiler alert: its not. I suspect this model has some issue that’s causing it to expend excessive energy during its routine. The mopping is great for cleaning dust but cannot really handle any minor debris. Its advertised stain cleaning is a lie. It’s also more prone to getting stuck, which is a deal breaker because we can only turn it on when we are out of the house. The fact that the mop head is not compatible with the self empty bin is also backwards. The robot will also just stop if its out of liquid. I would like to be able to transition into a vacuum only mode when that happens. Yet another disappointment. When friends and family asked me about my robot vacuum I always fully endorsed Shark. From now on I will be cautious and will not be recommending it as a no brainer.I returned the vacuum for a refund, highly advise you do the same and don’t tolerate this poor experience.

It works really good better than expected
Hopefully this review helps out somebody I will just let you know off the bat the only negative thing I have to say is I don't like taking the trash bin off to put the mopping one on you have to actually swap them out but mostly 24/7 I just have it on the vacuum bin installed. The mopping one we just do once in a blue moon. We use the mopping bin that it comes with and we let it do the entire house and then we went over the floor with a wet paper towel and no dirt was on the towel it actually works pretty good. First things first you could be in a different state and you can tell this thing to clean the floor the app is so easy to use just play around with it and you'll get real familiar real fast I like it because you can put it on high medium and low setting the matrix clean part is incredible. I knew shark made good stuff but I didn't know it was this good for the price you can't beat it and when it vacuums it sucks all the dirt in a bagless filtered box and the box does not fill up that fast because of the larger size. There's only a handful of robots that will actually map out the entire house and the map is so accurate the technology in this thing is crazy. For the price you can't beat it I think I picked mine up for $500 on sale on Amazon here. With a no hassle free return that you have to try it I guarantee you once you get this and you get it all set up you'll never return it. I was a little skeptical but I was hoping that it worked and I'm sure glad that it did I definitely will be buying more sharks in the future. You can even highlight the map on a spot on the floor let's say you spilled a bunch of cereal and you can have it just do a matrix clean on that spot and it will crisscross and just get everything. It's amazing little design I am very impressed. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it as it goes along the edges it even has a tiny little fan that blows out to get some of the debris it's not like a human where it will get every single thing that you see but for it going off on its own it gets I'm going to say 99.5% of everything you just have to make sure that you move wires out of the way and anything that would jam it but anything big is no problem but for example if you have a bunch of dog toys laying around that could get stuck you might want to move them. You don't want to set the vacuum up for failure you want to make sure it does a good job. But I literally was in a soccer game the other day and I told the vacuum to just do the whole house and I got home it was spotless.
