Found it more useful for skin care than for treat
My dog tends to eat everything, but he was hesitant about this honey. It was not that he wouldn't eat it, he just didn't gobble it down like everything else. He would lick it off the spoon like he WANTED to like it, but just couldn't commit. It's possible it could be more of a texture issue than a taste issue though. This honey is very thick and gooey. But he loves peanut butter, so, I don't know. Also, he has numerous health issues and with its high sugar content, the honey could potentially exacerbate some of those problems and I wasn't particularly comfortable giving it to him. However, due to Cushing’s disease as well as allergies, he has skin issues that can sometimes get out of hand. He seems to be itchy all the time and scratches frequently. I decided to apply some of the honey to a few of his worst areas. One really bad area was at the top of his front leg near his chest area. If he were human, it would be his armpit area. At first, I was worried about him getting sticky goo all over my furniture, but this stuff dries quickly and then sort of turns into a dried paste. I didn’t really notice any reduction in scratching at first, but what I did notice, after a few days, is that the patch under is front leg seemed to be drying up and becoming softer. The area that usually feels thick, dry and crusty appeared to be smoothing out. His fur actually felt soft in that area. I haven’t been aggressively applying the honey to all areas, because as I said he has lots of health issues and I have to keep a check on any adverse reactions. So far, all seems well, and although he still has a lot of itchy areas that give him grief, there does seem to be a decline in overall scratching. I will try the honey on other areas and remain cautiously optimistic about results.

This product for your dog is a thick liquid, not a chew treat.
Somehow I thought I was getting chew treats but I just apply a small amount on my finger and my dog licks it away. Seems to love the taste!!

Senior dog didn't like it
The younger dogs loved this but the senior dog wouldn't touch it. I smelled and tasted it. It's really good honey. I love that it's just honey.

Multiple Uses
Not gonna lie... I may end up stealing this from my dogs, haha! Not for eating, but for skin care. After drizzling over my dogs' food, I scraped the excess off of the spoon and wore it as a face mask for about an hour. After washing it off, my skin was the softest it's ever been!As for the dogs, three of my four seem to love it. Maybe the fourth one doesn't have a sweet tooth. I got this to see if it would help my dog that has constant skin issues, like hot spots. Using it topically definitely has some soothing and healing qualities; I noticed that on my own face, when a mosquito bite was no longer itchy after wearing my honey face mask.My only criticism is that the consistency is too thick to drizzle easily, so you have to warm it up a bit. But that's a very minor issue, since the quality, taste, and benefits seem to be great so far. Well worth a try, in my opinion!
