Gave this as a gift to my Sister - worked well for a short time, then gears broke (cheap plastic), and it was useless. Unfortunately, it is beyond the return time, so in the trash it goes.Update 3/23/23: Seller offered a full refund even though the product was beyond the return date.

I used this one time to open a very tight jar and it worked okay. I usually can get get most jars open myself, but today (Feb 16, 2023) I went to use this again and the clamps would not all work. I tried opening them all and noticed one would not move. So I tried to guide it back into its path. No go. Then all of a sudden, another would not move. Would I turned the crank handle to open, I saw what I thought was screw loose inside. When I turned it and shook it, several pieces fell out.No way after one use and the turning of the crank on the 2nd time should have caused the insides to all come undone.

It works for larger cans but one of the gripping wheels broke off when I tried to open a small jar. Disappointed that i had to send it back.

Thought it would be great to have a way to open coke cans -- did not work, too thick to go under the pull top! Still had to use nails. Very hard to get tight enough to open bottles, and now, after only a couple uses, it is broken! Very, very disappointed, and angry, with the performance and durability of this item!!!Too late to retun, unfortunately.

I’d been using this jar opener for several years and I was very pleased with it. Arthritis in hand made most jars impossible for me. After I moved 2 years ago somehow the opener got lost.. I wasted no time in purchasing a new one exactly the same. I wouldn’t be without it. I have yet to find a lid that was inaccessible as long as I have this gadget. Thank you . Thank you.

I bought 2 of these...one for myself and one as a gift. Fortunately, the one I gifted is still working. Mine, however, only got 2 uses before a small piece broke off, making the opener unusable.

I have basal joint thumb arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. I have tried numerous items and techniques to open bottles and jars of varying sizes. This has saved my hand! Thank you!Sadly broke after 3 months.
