Enjoyed by all the grandchildren
Enjoyed by all the grandchildren. They liked trying to guess what animal it was prior to reading and learning about each one.

Great nonfiction book with beautiful illustrations
Great nonfiction book introducing ocean animals! My 5 year old was engaged the entire time, and he loved learning about the different animals. He enjoyed guessing which animal came next, and he was very proud of himself when he got right. My 2 year old enjoyed the illustrations, but struggled to pay attention to all the descriptions.I had to explain a couple terms to him, but most of the text was self-explanatory. Talking about the terms he didn't understand helped to reinforce the lessons, and he was engaged in the discussions.

The illustrations are fantastic and the facts are simple for young readers
This is a book with a guessing game. Readers have to guess what the sea creature is based on a close up of body parts. The illustrations are fantastic and the facts are simple for young readers. This is very similar to Steve Jenkins books, but for a younger audience.

I love to read books about animals to my little children
I love to read books about animals to my little children, and they love them, too. My four-year-old really enjoyed trying to guess what the animals were in this book, and he got a couple of them right. There is a picture on one double-page spread of a part of each of the animals, and the following page shows the whole animal and gives more information about it. I really like the pictures, which look like cut-paper collages.I received a free ecopy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
