I give special credit to the cover
My 7 year old is self learning German via Duolingo but found some gaps in it. I searched for books and this one pop up first and I give it a try. I have a look and the presentation is very clear. I especially want to give credit to the cover design of this book as it didn’t look like other books which looked very formal. I like this one looked relax and kids love it too. And I also like the size of this book. Good for adults and children to read. I like the audio support alongside this book too.

Excellent reference for Duolingo
I am doing Duolingo German, this is an excellent book for reference when it’s hard to work out the grammar rules or just to add more theoretical understanding as you go along. Works very well alongside the Duolingo ‘work it out for yourself’ activities.

Useful resource, Cringe Spam emails when accessing audio files
I would like to say I like this book as a resource, and it has helped support my learning. However, this has gone from a solid 4-5 star review to a 3 star review based on my experience when I went to download the accompanying audio files. To do this you have to sign up with your email and your first name for them to send you the audio files to download. Fair enough, they may want to tack who they are sending audio files to etc. etc. I then received an email containing the “downloadable” audio files which were simply unlisted YouTube videos (this could easily be linked in the front of the book) and then followed emails part 1 and 2 of 5 from “Oscar Johanson”. I did not sign up for these continuing emails and they are written like an MLM pitch, constantly referring to the “secret tip to learn languages” which “Oscar” will fully reveal in part 5.It does not sound like much but without copying the emails here it is hard to describe how cringey, desperate and unprofessional these emails come across. A pointless practice which seems to be desperate to sell the next thing to you.In all buy the book to support your learning, the audio files will help but you will have to put up with unsolicited follow up emails written like someone who learnt to write from MLM email chains and Tik Tok.

Easy to follow and digest
Having lived in Austria and worked alongside a great many Germans, I disagree with the comments of one reviewer who found the cover to be insensitive and offensive, then failed to peovide meaningful comment on the actual content of the publication.I found German Made Easy Level 1 a well laid-out book that provides clear explanations for the beginner and, like myself, those returning to German language studies. A variety of easy to use exercises complement each section, reinforced by memorable and, IMHO, inoffensive graphics.A publication such as this would have made language studies more enjoyable during my secondary education and I plan to introduce this book to my eldest grandchild when she commences her own language studies.

Excellent quality, set at just the right level
I have read and used this book and I am really impressed by it. There is something about it that feels very supportive to the user. I think it is because of the English introductions which explain everything in the nice informal way used by good teachers.I would recommend the book to any beginners, or learners who are not sure of their level of learning, it is so easy to follow and has a friendly encouraging approach,

Avoid. Not at all 'easy'.
Definitely not 'made easy'. Plus, the audio files that you can download do not correspond with what's in the book. Avoid.I'll be looking elsewhere.
