This was a wonder to open. The box is beautiful and elegant, something to cherish. The feather is just as it is in the image, haven't touched the other nibs or wax yet. The ink jar looks really good, something from olden times. I wrote with the quill the night the delivery came and it was a joy to write with. I'll be using it to write to those I care about and wish to take the time to write to. And it does take time, you have to re-ink every one or two words... I wonder how a sender will feel receiving such a letter, whether they would appreciate the time and effort and thought that went into it, over a text, thumbs up...There's no scratchy-ness writing w/ this, which is nice.

I got this feather pen set for my almost 1/ year old sister and I think she will really like this I was alittle nervous but this but when it came i was very happy it looks great and smells go with it for what it is which I found a little weird but my partner said it is good goes with the pen affect and the box it comes in is fantastic looks beautiful and inside is great and yes it is a bit pricey but once you get it your find it worth the money such a great gift for someone

The quill is beautiful, well crafted and faithful to the pictures. The packaging is impecable and very nice. The ink is also good. My only complaint or reason not to give it 5 stars is that, out of all of the nibs, only three seem to be decent. I mean: only three have the upper section that allows the nib to hold ink and so use it for more than 2 words. The other ones, being just simple nibs without the extra part on top, get charged with ink and release too much on the first 3 letters you write, and then run out of ink in the blink of an eye. This makes it hard to write with any of those nibs, and it feels like a sad waste. The other nibs, fortunately, are better and those are the ones I’m using to write now. Maybe my perception comes from ignorance since this is my first quill, but I’ve watched a number of tutorials on YouTube and they all mention the need for this upper part which serves as ink-holder to be able to write fluently and for the ink to be neatly distributed as you write.As I said, the quill, the ink and the packaging are all wonderful, the delivery was fast... but maybe an improvement on the nibs would be nice.

Looks and feels top quality. Love the natural looking feather, (not a fan of coloured feathers, I want them to resemble real birds!).Will be a wonderful gift, and I hope one day to have one myself! Very pleased - reasonable price too!

It was a birthday present for my best friend. Everything in this is beautiful

Lovely set, nicely weighted.and presented. My one bugbear is that some of the nibs are not curved correctly to allow them to easily be attached to the pen. I even sliced my finger trying to push one in such was the force applied (and it still did not attach). But don’t let that put you off, those nibs I have attached work a treat

My calligraphy set arrived on time It was well packed and looked expensive When opened they had even added an extra ribbon with bow to place around the box I like those finishing touches The set itself is superb and every italic writers dream it has class and elegance stamped allover This eould be a fantastic present for an author or student studying the art of words and letters Thank you for a beautiful writings set
