POWERTEC 70347 10 Ft. Dust Collection Hose Kit with 5 Fittings for Woodworking Power Tools Home and Wet/Dry Shop Vacuums

I needed a hose and with adapters to connect my sander and saw to a wet/dry vacuum. I decided to buy this one because it came with multiple adapters.Now right off the bat the adapters didn't fit my particular sander. But the awesome thing about these adapters that come supplied is that they're made of tuff rubber that can be molded.I found the closest adapter that fit over the sander's connecter port and using a heat gun I softened the rubber adapter and pressed it over adapter connecter.I left the adapter connected until it cooled and it molded perfectly over the sander's connecter and kept its shape. It's an air tight snug fit that stays on with friction making it easy to swap tools. No need for clamps.of any kind.I highly recommend this product. It should last a long time.

Most of the equipment in my shop uses 2-1/2" hose outlets, except for my handhelds, like my Porter-Cable plunge router and my Dewalt sander. The sander, in particular, comes with a cloth dust collect bag and a twist-lock adapter. This hose kit comes with a couple of hose end adapters, and the larger of the two fits right over the dust port outlet on my Dewalt sander. Then I simple insert the smaller hose adapter into the other one. (see photos) The result isn't a tight fit, but it stays put especially when the vacuum is running. So I used the smaller of the two adapters on the end on the hose where it will permanently stay. The hose is a little bit stiff, but that's good because my vacuum develops a lot of suction and would collapse a weaker hose. The hose length is optimal for my shop and I even rigged an overhead arm to hold the hose above my work surface while I sand.

Two of the connectors fit my older Porter-cable and dewalt Sanders perfectly and another one worked on my vacuum hose. Four stars because the hose is a little smaller and stiffer than I expected but otherwise works great.

Fits Rigid Vacuum, Rigid Table Saw, Ryobi Miter Saw. Would need a bit of tape for a good seal to my Bauer Router. I did break out the heat gun to modify one fitting so I could leave it installed in the table saw but the figment to the saw itself was perfect. With the supplied part combo I can get it on just about any tool I own except the Milwaukee sander that is a square fitting. I like it, we’ll worth the $20

I searched and I searched for a hose and hose connection system to connect my table saw (SawStop Jobsite Pro) blade guard dust port to my existing shop vac (Rigid). Other Powertec products failed to marry the parts together (and I tried lots) but this one worked - sort of. The small tool connector didn't fit the dust guard, but the adaptor for the vacuum did fit. Fortunately the hose fits snuggly into the blade guard port so it's kind of adequate. I'll have to see if the fit continues to hold over time as the plastic weakens.All three stars because I'm not certain about longevity of this solution. But hey, at this price I would recommend it.

Based on reviews I thought this would work and was excited to replace the horrible hose that came with it. Unfortunately, that was not to be. I would have loved the extra length, but here is what is wrong with it. 1. the adaptors, none of them will work, the smallest is too small and does not seal at the intake port. It is also too short, which combined with the looseness of the fit, means it will detach with the littlest tug, which, if you use a vacuum, you know is one of the levels of hell meant to torment you eternally. 2. The hose is only slightly more flexible than the original, which is to say it has all the flexibility of a brick. The extra length this hose offers makes up for that a bit I guess, but it is not as flexible as the ones for larger vacs.So there you have it, not for the HD Buckethead, the search continues . . .
