AMAZING !!! In ALL my years I've never had a small sharpener that's done SUCH a fantastic job - very fine point and no breakage and brilliant for Faber-Castell polychromos. I usually use the swordfish desk sharpener but even the little stumps won't fit so thanks !

Sharpens charcoal pencil to a point. Brilliant
I have tried many sharpeners to sharpen my soft charcoal pencils and they all snap the pencils. Even tried a mechanical one. I seen an artist online using this one and wanted to try. Works brilliantly. Would recommend. Has a hole for coloured pencils, large pencils and graphite (this one works with charcoal)

Sharpens my Derwent Inktense pencils
I bought this sharpener as it has the 3rd size sharpener for coloured pencils, and my Derwent Inktense are just a bit too big for my other sharpeners so I thought I would get one that does them all! The sharpener works great, although I was expecting it to be metal- silly me for the price!! My only complaint is that when I open it to access the sharpener, as the barrel that holds the coloured pencil shavings has been sat upsidedown while not in use, the contents then fall out of the sharpening hole when I open it up again! I'm getting the knack though!

Ideal sharpener with jumbo hole option (collect shavings)
I am so pleased with this sharpener. I bought it to take with me to a group where I teach crafts and it is important to have a good sharpener that can fit in my box that I take along with me. I found it useful as the shavings are collected in the bottom of the container and it sharpens the pencils to a sharp point. I didn't use it with faber-castell pencils but other makes of pencils and it worked just fine. I think this is a really great value for money shapener and it has 3 different holes (incuding the jumbo hole option) for sharpening.FInding a good sharpener can be tricky but I would recommend this one as it works well and is compact for transporting with you and the fact that it collects the shavings is a bonus too.Update 1/3/2017I have bought another one as my daughter uses the sharpener to sharpen her eyeliner, lip liner and eyebrow pencils and I decided to get her one for herself.
