This was my first try at buying leather off cuts on-line as I am just starting out with leatherwork as a hobby, and I was not disappointed. Delivery was delayed, but seller forewarned me of the problem and added extra to compensate for the inconvenience - they certainly understand the meaning of customer service. The leather itself was was all on average about 2mm thick and the bundle I received was predominantly tan, brown and black and mostly smooth finish, but with a couple of textured pieces thrown in for good measure. The best thing was the sizing. No tiny scraps here. All the pieces were big enough to do something with, ranging from 10-12cm wide but most being at least A5 size, with at least 3-4 being bigger than A4. Yes, there were a couple of pieces with minor blemishes on the finished side, but I find this actually adds to the end result. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and will certainly order again when I finally run out of this first batch.

As a total newbie to leatherwork if I'm honest I'm stumbling my way thru countless vids as well as online and stores picking up things as I go. However receiving my bag of offcuts has opened a whole new world to me not just vast array of colours but the leathers, textures, feel, softness thru to the rigidity of thicker leathers. So getting these cuts from Laneys Supply's helping me learn. Thank you for this, I hope I can grow my knowledge thru recycling your material offcuts and purchase more in due course.

Not bad value for money. I guess since they’re off cuts, it’s a hit & miss.

Not bad, but what the pictures don't show you is that you're lucky if you get one solid piece at any decent size. I think the biggest pieces I got were maybe 6"x8" and those were irregular. Sure, the pieces are bigger, but not solid. If you're looking for little bits for embellishments and such then this will keep you going for ages, but if you're hoping to make a coinpurse or cover a small book, forget it.All grumbling aside, the quality is very good. I've made a couple of patchwork items from the little scraps, and a sheath for a friends hunting knife, and this stuff is great to work with and has held up well to use.

I was taking a bit of a risk ordering these as I wanted them for shoe making so needed relatively large pieces.I was super pleased with what turned up. A lovely range of colours (red, pink, a bunch of greens, and some tans) and most came in large enough pieces that I'd be able to make use of them in shoes. The rest were still large enough that i could do small craft projects like card wallets and what not.Very pleased.

Absolute rubbish, literally. This is the first time I have bought leather to make anything. I needed a piece 20 x 4 inches, I was not even botheredwhat colour it was. I had one piece which was just about good enough. The rest was not worth keeping for any future project, too small, scuffed or marked. If I want leather again I will find a leather garment in a charity shop and use that.

I bought these to make a leather blanket mat for my cat to stop him sleeping on my very expensive fav soft leather shopper they are ideal lovely and soft

I didn't have any expectations about this product but the quality of the pieces I received is great! I will definitely order again
