Great hardback cover and displays well , even if a little disapointing inside for some maybe !
Well I am very happy with this book , I bought it as a pre-order at £16.99 , with free delivery as part of a multi buyThe hardback cover is fantastic and looks great when displayedThe pages are thin yes I know , about that same as a magazine and yes Zelda part is missing , but on the wholeI think this book is well worth the money I paidAnd even at £19.99 now is still worth it , I will get around to reading it all soon

PLAYING WITH POWER!!!!
Beautifully presented. High quality in every way. Really thick paper. The sleeve that mimics a NES case is a nice touch. Think I'll buy the SNES version now...

It looks like a giant cartridge!
I still own my NES, and I'm surprised at how many games in this book I have.Quite a few are also available in the mini-nes, so the play through and maps make it pretty useful.Unfortunately, like most of these books, it's heavily biased to America. Several games that should be in this book are missing. Micromachines, Elite and Pirates were some of the most influential games to have appeared on the NES, even though they were mostly played in Europe. Unfortunately most Americans haven't heard of these games, except for the later updated versions.Still, this is a good looking book, with plenty of background information on the NES and its history. If you're a Nintendo fan, or you know one, this is a nice addition to your collection.

Great!... it does miss a few titles on the 30 games NES Classic Mini but it is pretty comprehensive!

Great idea, poor execution
I'm really saddened by how poor this book has turned out to be, I was hoping it would be a great companion to my NES Mini. Here are my main issues:- whilst the slipcase and covers are nice, the pages themselves are really low quality, to the point the moisture in the air in my house is starting to warp the pages! My house has normal moisture levels- the non-game guide articles are good, but there are too few of them- there is mention of 'excellent third party games' numerous times in the book, but not one third party game is covered. A real shame- whilst the guides are ok in many cases, they are not comprehensive as they cover multiple games in the one book. They should have decided to either make full guides, or leave them out altogether and focus more on the NES history, game descriptions/interviews, and third party gamesOverall disappointing. This seems to be a trend with Prima and Nintendo at the moment, their recent Zelda collectors game guides were poor as well.I'm keeping my eye out for Bitmap Books' unofficial NES book due out early 2017. That looks much more promising than this.Bad show!

Disapointing for an official Nintendo product
Quite disappointing for an official Nintendo book but still has a lot of good content even if some of it is missing. Money can be much better spent on the unnofficial bitmap book of the NES.
