Apple 2022 Apple TV 4K Wi‑Fi + Ethernet with 128GB storage (3rd generation)

This is such a brilliant little TV system.Firstly its surprisingly small and light, so can easily be tucked away out of sight if need be.The only required connections are a power cable and then an HDMI to the TV, so its really easy to set up.Once connected and powered up, the next step is to go through the on screen set up.Apple have done a great job to make this as easy as possible, you simply sign in to your WIFI router and then go through a number of menu options to set the TV box up to your preferences.The remote is a beautiful, solid item that feels great in the hand and is very easy to use.I mentioned earlier that the TV box itself could be tucked away out of sight, the remote is Bluetooth so doesn't need line of sight access to the TV box.Battery life of the remote is excellent, and when charging is needed you can simply use your existing phone charger as it uses a USB C connection 👍I would suggest connecting a Bluetooth keyboard if you have one for setup, as typing in various passwords for WIFI, your Apple account, BBC account etc. can be tiresome when using the remote.Apples TV OS is a lesson in how an operating system can be advanced yet incredibly easy to use. Even my parents who are both in their mid 70's are happy using it.Picture quality is a decent step up from my previous TV box (BT TV 4K), its also better than the picture I get natively from the apps running on my TV.The same can be said for sound, its improved in all areas.(I recommend using a decent HDMI cable for connection, as this can affect performance)You can also access your photos and music if you're already using other Apple products.So as you can tell, I'm delighted with this.It's a fantastic product offered at an excellent price.I hope you find my review helpful.

I was initially on the fence about getting an Apple TV, since we already have a smart TV and can theoretically access most streaming services through the TV’s OS. I finally decided to buy one after Netflix kept having trouble authenticating on the smart TV – and I don’t regret it one bit.First of all, there are small quality-of-life improvements I didn’t expect:The OS is so much smoother, prettier, and faster to navigate.The Apple TV app ties all your streaming services together and will tell you if a particular movie or series is available for free in one of your installed apps. Honestly, this is one of my favourite features – I no longer have to Google it or check each service manually.I can connect my AirPlay-enabled speakers and group them with the TV speakers (only works while streaming movies or series).It works as a home hub, letting you control your Apple smart home devices when you’re away.There’s a Steam Link app that lets you stream games from your PC over the internet. The experience depends on your home internet quality, but with an ethernet cable connected it’s great – just pair a supported gaming controller and you’re good to go.Overall, the Apple TV is a great little device that upgrades your home entertainment setup in so many unexpected ways. I’m really glad I bought one, and I wouldn’t go back.

Arrived well packaged brand new in box, talked to someone who'd already got one, recommended the 64gb as its plenty, runs all the usual apps like Netflix Prime Disney etc, unlike our TV which doesn't and is so slow in comparison, typical apple product just works and quickly, remote feels quality but is small especially if you have hands like shovels, even with my massive fingers the swipe thing works, would recommend, best TV box we've ever had, only thing that comes close is LG Web OS when it first sets up, used this now for a few months, no stupid update or slow downs just works, only off put is the price. In my opinion its worth it to avoid the headaches of 'oh god its updated and crashed again'. Use a quality HDMI cable with it as its very capable of a nice picture.

Setup was incredibly easy – up and running in minutes with no fuss. Streaming is smooth and responsive, with excellent picture and sound quality across all apps. The added Ethernet port gives extra reliability for 4K content. The box itself is compact, sleek and well-built, and it runs quietly. Powered by a simple cable – no bulky adapters. A premium device with generous storage, making it great value for money if you’re deep in the Apple ecosystem.

Although a little taller than the original Apple TV box it’s still pretty compact, set up is a breeze and the interface runs much more smoothly than the original, a pleasure to use and has become my main device for streaming services, the WiFi connection is also much more stable than the original and the picture quality and sound seems like a step up too. What’s not love love about this. Oh and I should say that while I liked the original remote control for factor the new Apple Remote is faster. Smoother and now controls the power on/off of both my tv and soundbar simultaneously which is a god send, not having to operate 3 different remotes when turning the tv on or off. The remote has a built in battery and charges quickly via USBC and the power seems to last for ages, in one year of constant use I think I’ve charged it twice and it’s still going. You can also operate the unit from your mobile phone and Siri voice button saves a tonne of time because you no longer have to manually scroll to type in what you’re looking for and it works very well.
