DEWALT 18v to 20v Adapter - Bare (DCA1820)

Works great with my old XRP Nicad drill. Feels like got more power too with Lithium Batts but could just be imagination playing tricks again. But definitely benefiting from longer run time especially with 5.0AH battery. No probs inserting into drill or disengaging. What I would say probably an obvious downside is size increase of tool with adapter fitted.

I've tried this on all my old dewalt stalk type battery tools. All tools work again with this adaptor now. The price is a bit excessive but if these tools keep working with this adaptor then it's well worth it.The adaptor came in proper plastic retail packaging with instructions so I have no doubt this is a genuine dewalt product

I had previously bought cheaper versions which come loose and don’t allow full discharge of the battery, this one yes more expensive but worth it as it works perfectly

Lets me use all my old DeWalt tools with the new lithium ion batteries. Some people have mentioned in various places that it is difficult to remove but if the lithium battery is removed first I find it much easier to remove than the old 18V batteries. It works perfectly with the old style dealt drills and the new batteries. Did purchase one from China which was rubbish. Save your money and get this one and still use all your old dewalt kit

Perfect, now able to use Li-on batteries in my old drill and saws.
