Amazing sound quality and fantastic customer service
REALLY REALLY impressed with this - I was in the market for a pair of Bluetooth headphones and it was a toss up between the Jaybird x3s and the Plantronics equivalent (the Bose one was a twinkle in someone's eye at that point !).Unfortunately the x3 and Plantronics took too long to come out and the reviews of the Plantronics quite clearly stated poor bass was an issue - hence I purchased the x2s instead. The sound quality on these is AMAZING and you do notice the better bass ! You also get a very helpful carrying case, although I do wish they made it out of something which doesnt show smudges where the ear wax has touched the surface ! This and the fact that their current case doesn't offer charging capabilities would be the only two downsides to this device - everything else is brilliant - you can pair to 8 devices, long batter life, very comfortable ... what's not to love ?EDIT 15-JUL-17 I was reading the reviews I had written and decided to update this one. I had occasion to contact Jaybird's support team regarding an issue with the earbuds (my fault not the device and not technical in nature - I have weird ears), and they were really helpful and knowledgeable - I'd buy from them again purely based on their customer service let alone this product.

Pretty good but nothings perfect!
Ok so I love these and I should have no issues considering they cost so much but there are issues. Firstly the pros are the sound is awesome, they look amazing. They have good battery life considering they are so small and charge in a couple of hours and have made gyming more enjoyable not only as they don't snag like the regular earphones do when lifting weights but coz of the sound too. The cons are that they don't always stay in my ear and can make the inside of the ear a little sore as you need to jam them in to seal the ear canal. The cable is rubberish and when I put the cable behind my neck it kinda sticks to my neck coz my head is shaved and when I turn my head it pulls the earphone out of the ear so I have to have the cable hanging, although I suspect if you have even a few mm's of hair this may not happen. I wish there was a little cable adjuster like on the powerbeats earphones so I could tighten the cable when hanging in front as the cable is a little long for my liking. I don't like the cable clips things they supply as it makes the cable look bulky and ugly hanging in front but looks ok on the pics when behind the head. The other thing I have noticed is that if I try an tuck the extra cable down the front of my hoodie it seems to make the signal cut in and out and my phone is only in my gym shorts pocket and also if I wear a watch on the same side trouser pocket it makes the signal cut in and out as my hand swings back and forth. In conclusion I think that they are really good earphones and would imagine that other cheaper brand have similar or worse signal issues but I'm still glad I got them.

There's not much better out there, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with them
THE GOODThe build quality is good, materials are good, and they are light and small, especially for BT headphones. Sound stage is surprisingly wide, and the music comes across quite clearly, given it's still a BT set we're talking about (more about this later on).Battery life is ok and the guide voice is super nice to have. BT works perfectly with my Nexus 6P (including synchronised volume control).THE BADSound quality is limited by the BT capabilities. Not supporting AptX is a big lacking point, for as much as they might boast a custom SBT implementation (which is completely irrelevant unless both ends of the connection implement it...). For those who don't know, SBT is the simple baseline codec that BT devices use to transmit music on the A2DP profile, which is the one that matters when you're listening to your fave tunes. SBT is an old, poor quality codec. AptX is a third party codec, vastly more efficient than SBT. It's not supported on all devices: iPhones, iPads and Nexus devices (including my 6P, unfortunately) are famously lacking support for it, while Samsung and HTC phones usually have it (at least the high-specced ones). These aren't the only ones that support AptX, that's just an example. If only one of the two sides supports AptX, it can't be used, both need to support it.Now, given that BT has got a very, very limited data bandwidth, the difference between an efficient codec (AptX) and one that simply isn't (SBT) makes for a huge incremental gain. Music over SBT loses depth, clarity, and pleasantness. In my experience, a good £250 BT over-ear headphone outputting an SBT stream has incredibly worse quality, clarity and vividness than a £70 pair of quality in-ears.As for the fit of these headphones, YMMV a lot. They mostly tend to stay in place when running, but the seal leaves a lot to be desired both with standard and Comply tips. The wings _will_ make your ears sore after a couple of hours.THE UGLYThe sound quality simply doesn't go above average-to-bad. Bass is almost non-existant, max volume is quite low, and the level of insulation from the outside is very bad in all my tests. As I said, the bass is lost almost completely. Even songs with punch basslines are rendered flat and drab by the BBX2. The quality is barely good enough for a workout, but it's not any better than the £40 SoundMAGIC E30 Earphones - Black that I have been using for the good part of the last year.WRAP-UPComfort: 8Build quality/materials: 8Sound quality: 5-I will not be sending them back to Amazon because there's simply nothing better than these if you want some exercise earbuds, but I'm not very happy with them. They're really expensive for the audio quality they provide. I'd much rather they hadn't included calling facilities and used better drivers and added AptX support.

Top Notch!
Just received my pair from Amazon UK. I already own Powerbeats 2 and love their bass. However the sound lacked the detail I achieved from my Sennheiser IE 800 (not a fair comparison though!). This one is low on bass but out shines Powerbeats 2 on Mids and Highs. The clarity of sound is amazing. I can hear every instrument separately and clearly. This was not possible with Powerbeats . Jaybird X2, however, does not produce aggressive bass needed to face a charging bull! The choice between the two will depend upon individual listening style. Jaybird X2 achieves better noise isolation and is likely to be more suitable for noisy gym environments. Powerboats 2 on the other hand, with its loose fit, allows external sound to leak in. I will keep it for road running so I am aware of the surroundings. Both are well built and feel robust. I haven't tested JB's sweet proofing and battery life and will comment if it fails to perform in any of these areas. The spec sheet suggests its battery to last 2 hours more than the Powerbeats 2. Highly recommended!
