Cameras ok but not great for 1080p
Cameras ok but not great for 1080p.Recorder fails a lot and loses data.App (zsight) completely useless and unreliable. No direct connection to your own cameras, it all goes through zmodo servers so anyone is able to view your cameras should they wish.Update 6 months in:- 1 camera stopped working 2 months ago- DVR crashes regularly with HDD format error, loses all data- Rarely use zsight now, by the time it has failed to load I have lost another 2 minutes of my life

No Negatives from me
This product is excellent, i purchased it in August so it has been up and running for 4 months. I can honestly say that like anything of this nature, once you get used to how it works it is a very reliable system. I could access the camera abroad with no issues at all. Picture quality is very good as well. When compared to a similar product at twice the cost, this is hands down the best and cost affective.

... zmodo system we have had and we are very pleased with it
This is the seconbd zmodo system we have had and we are very pleased with it. The cameras provide good night vision and the system works very quickly showing almost instant footage. The recording is accurate and very easy to set up and use.

Nightmare come true
Bought this a couple of weeks ago - and so far very disappointing -First the good points:- arrived fast, in time- HW looks and feels like it is quality made, both cameras and the NVR- Iphone app works fine, even over the internet outside my internal network without any configuration (good)Negatives:- When accesing the NVR through the web based interface, and get though the login window there is only a blue screen- HDMI port doesn't work- VGA screen - I don't have- no real support from Zmodo available - web site looks nice but is completly useless as there are no manuals, no download manual etc. available- ZMODO chat support either shows '401 file not found' or lets you enter your details with email address - but don't come back to youSo basically I bought 2 systems (as I need 8 full HD cams) - which are kind of useless as I don't have real access to them - no real support available ... and since I am a computer scientist who has installed a lot of other programmable systems before I am surprised how many people don't seam to have any problems ...I give it another 2-3 days to get access to it - maybe someone from ZMODO even answers - but after that I'll be sending the whole stuff back,Update after some more days:name aus Berlin says:So - I finally borrowed a VGA screen to set up the boxes - the menus available using VGA are rudimentory but OK and usable. In summary after having used the 2 boxes and 8 cameras for several days now:- as a pure recording device it definitly serves it's purpose BUT- Video quality is limited (VGA only available - HDMI port not working ?! - web network access not working ?! - HW mouse(s) that came with the box(es) also not working)- Zero (0) zupport from ZMODO or the distributor- Direct Access through VGA - menu's and functionality is VERY old style (1990s) and again accessing it over the network does not work (blue screen) - apparently they somehow use ActiveX for web access - but couldn't get this to work either - info for integrating this is for old MS Explorer only (I use Mac and mostly firefox) - but even with my PC (Win 10) - no chance to get this working. In summary - outdated SW, HW partially not working, no support from vendor or disti - but dirt cheap and usable as a simple recording device (but not HD1080p quality). I definitly cannot recommend this and will look for a better solution.P.S.: I do not understand the positive voting here - either I am missing something or most of them are bogus

Excellent home cctv
My initial impression was that the cameras were smaller than I imagined-however once setup-very easy as per enclosed instructions the image is excellent .My computer monitor has HDMI slot already taken so used other RGB and monitor images are great (only connected 2 so far as have already hardwired Ethernet for them)-the enclosed cables -state cat 5 seem ok and should be long enough-I ordered an extra 50 m just in case .The software is very simple -you can configure various camera and recording settings with the mouse and screen instructions.Downloaded zsight onto my old Samsung galaxy and it works well(although my screen resolution doesn't do justice to the images).Once all is hardwired and all camera installed will update and hopefully can comment on night images.

Don't think about it, just buy it, I did.
I had the system installed by a local company; since then I have not had any problems at all with it. The daylight images are absolutely clear and can easily see car number plates and when the zoom function is used can even see the the phone numbers on the side of small delivery vans; The night images are as clear as day. Prior to installation I used it through double glazing which had drawbacks in that the night vision infrared would reflect back off the glass into the camera and so just blind itself; during the day time when the sun reflected on the glass a similar effect would occur. Hence I had it installed outside under the eaves. Perfect; the price is OK too.
