Perfect for parlour guitars not great for electrics or non symmetrical body shapes though
This is an amended review since using a few different guitars on it. (Original first impression review below this one)Don't risk using this at a gig with a dear les Paul or strat. Ok for sitting in a living room but It is inclined to be a bit off balance with anything of substance in/on it. Non symmetrical body shapes like my fretless Jazz bass do cause it to be one sided and my les Paul has marks on the bottom due to the foam not being thick enough and the guitar touching the sharp edged wood frame when being replaced.I find I have to adjust the way they all sit after placing on the stand so be careful when replacing instruments back on it. My strat a telecaster have marks on the bottom too due to the above complaint. My Martin d42 is very vulnerable on it so don't risk it- so really this otherwise decent stand is perfect for parlour guitars or smaller bodied acoustics or guitars that don't have a lot of weight to them.Nice bit of wood and well finished. Foam rubber strips adorn the contact areas and once slotted together, it feels rigid.I recently bought a wee Washburn parlour guitar and my existing stands are too bulky and industrial looking but this one dissapeared when the guitar is on it. See the attached picture with the guitar on it.

I really liked the wooden
Was looking for a stand for my new guitar, and I searched quite a while, before settling on this one. I really liked the wooden, simple design. It was very easy to assemble and the guitar rests beautifully on it. Very happy with the padding on the support, as I am a bit clumsy, so it means I won't scratch it!Only thing I noticed was that one of the back legs was not laying flat, when the stand was on a hard flat surface, so it effectively had contact in 3 points. But the stability of the stand does not seem affected and I am very happy with the purchase.

Really like this stand
Really like this stand. I recovered the rubber contact points with a layer of felt for added padding and to avoid any possible reaction with lacquered finishes. The two pieces fit together quite loosely but a layer of the same felt in the joint made it nice and secure. My only criticism would be that when loaded up with a guitar, I felt the stand could roll forward a bit like a rocking chair - I fitted a pair of "feet" to the front to avoid this and am now very happy with the product.

Superb design
This very pleasing wood guitar stand is an unqualified success. The simple but clever design lets it hold my guitar in a way that places no strain on any part of the instrument, while creating a 'stand-alone' effect for the guitar itself. When not being used the actual guitar becomes an attractive feature of the room in a way not possible when it is in its case. As a material, I prefer wood to metal and plastic constructs, because it is a natural product. The attractive matt wood finish blends in nicely yet unobtrusively.

Great for your at home acoustic guitar
Looks lovely, Looks at home in your living room. The wood is a great look for my home. We'll structured, balance is good however I keep an acoustic guitar on it. A heavy electric guitar with a heavy headstock may not be so well balanced.Decent padding to avoid wood on wood contact. Can be taken apart and stored very well, I fit it in my guitar bag in a front pocket.Overall very good product.

Steady as a rock!
These are great! So simple to put together, store, carry etc... and perfect for Uke. I also use one this size for my banjo, which is a full size resonator type banjo and the centre of gravity when it's on the stand is spot on and very sturdy - even if it looks like it shouldn't work! But it's as steady as a rock.

Fantastic bit of kit for classical guitar
This is a fantastic, useful bit of kit. It is light and easily fits into a bag. I now use it on stage and in my practice room. I really don't know why it took me so long to purchase one. It is better than the metal framed ones. My only warning is that it does not provide the same back support for the guitar.

Looks great. Not as stable as head support
Really neat and stylish design. Doesn't have the same stability as a head supporting stand, but for home use they are absolutely fine. We have 2!
