Clutching the base and moving my hand vigorously back and forward produced some great results! The more I pumped, the bigger it got. At first I started with long smooth strokes but also found that at times short, swift, rapid efforts also helped me to finish off. In all, everyone at the nursing home were thoroughly impressed.

Well, on the one hand it's a balloon pump, but on the other hand, it's a balloon pump that works reliably, doesn't inflate too quickly (and risks bursting your balloons) and works really well with modelling balloons.I bought this to use with modelling balloons (to make pirate swords!), and there's a knack to using it, but once you've figured it out (how hard and fast to pump) it's a really useful little gadget. The nozzle end is tapered so that (I imagine) you can use it with almost any kind of balloon, no matter how thick the entryway is.It does work a little counter-intuitively inthat it seems to inflate when you pull it open (instead of when you push it closed), but that's not a problem at all. I'm planing to buy a couple more for the event I'm planning for volunteers to use - it might be a little more pricey than other pumps, but it's definitely the most reliable.

Firstly I would like to make it clear that I am not a balloon pump expert - my only other experience is a noddy pump which came with a balloon animal kit which I bought for some nefarious purpose a long time ago. This device is a long way from Noddy; past 'Five go Mad in Dorset', and well into' Harry Potter and the Order of the Balloon Monkey' territory. Basically, for a non professional maker of balloon animals at my kid's parties, it is, at absolute minimum, as good as I will ever need - and seems built to last forever. If you haven't - then get you to you-tube land, get a pack of reasonable quality balloons and one of these and you will be the friend of any nearby 2 to 6 year old for as long as your balloon princess crowns and aeroplanes stay inflated.

A fantastic ballon pump ace for going professional with as it's double action and a good make. It pumps air in the the ballon so so fast and easy with no hassle. And the seller was fantastic sorting things out over email and it was fast delivery as well if you need a balloon pump then get this one you will not be disappointed at all. Really good pump bought specifically for using on modelling balloons. It's true that you won't be able to blow them up without a pump!! This was very easy to use, well made and works every time with ease. Great price too so don't hesitate.

Like others have mentioned, if you do one pump, then wait, it's slowly letting air out of the balloon. No idea how to fix it.

Excellent Pump, My 8 year old daughter asked for this and a pack of 260Q balloons after a clown came to her school. She is just finished the first pack of 100 balloons and the pump is still going strong. This is saying alot for the quality of the pump we received as it gets alot of abuse from being bent like a bow while pumping because she is a bit small to be using the pump to being left around everywhere after use like kids do. I'd recommend this with a packet of balloons for any child or big child. great fun and lots of great videos on youtube of penguins and all sorts to try and make.
