All Ryka shoes are made on a woman's last (the mold or shape of a woman's foot), and are designed and developed taking into account a women's unique fit needs. Women's feet are narrower in the heel and wider in the forefoot, women's toes need more room. Outstanding fit and exceptional comfort consistently place Ryka shoes among the highest rated in the industry. After all, if your shoes don't work out, neither will you.

Bingo! (Brown, Taupe)
First pair of Rykas, but definitely won't be my last. Really fine set of shoes. Quickie points:1) Ball of the foot area: I prefer more cushioning. A quick trip to the drug store killed that concern, via a ball-of-the-foot set of gel pads. Placed the gel pads under the insole. (May be fine as is for most though.)2) Indulging fitness walks of 3-5 miles near daily means I go through athletic shoes quickly. Despite all those shoes, these are the ONLY ones which make it *impossible* to have pain under the shoe-tie area. There's a patch of what appears to be leather, atop the tongue. When you tie the shoe, the knot situates itself directly above that patch. So, because this usual irritant is missing, no need to me to use Lock Laces on this shoe. (I've got em on just about all my other sneakers.)3) The shoe strings actually stay tied, even throughout a multi-mile walk. No double-knot, or Lock Laces, needed.4) These bad boys are not only super comfy (they cup the heels in a truly glorious fashion!), they look dang good as well.5) I have mild over-pronation tendencies. I was concerned that there might not be enough support. The support is great, even though these are the lightest shoes I own.6) Sizing: I always buy 1/2 size up from my true size, to ensure I have a thumb-width of space from toe to shoe tip. Fit exactly as desired. Conclusion: You really owe it to yourself to try these. Amazon makes it painless for returns, but I suspect you too will deem these stone cold keepers. (Purchased out of pocket; no Vine Membership involvement in this case.)

Love this brand!
I would have chosen 5 stars if the shoe had more leather, we'll see how the mesh holds up. It's my first shoe with mesh as opposed to all leather. I have purchased other Ryka shoes in different models and i love their fit and support which is why i chose them here and also a really great price. The fit is true to size and the heel support is really nice. I do different types of workouts mostly low impact aerobics and walking so I was in need of a shoe that could handle different workouts. I am looking forward to trying another model of Ryka's since I got such a great price on my Radiant's!

FIT IS TRUE TO SIZE AND UNUSUALLY STYLISH
RYKA is MY favorite brand because of its true to size fit, quality, and unusual styling.I am 5 feet six, weigh approx. 140 pounds, and have fallen arches, or as some people say, "flat feet." I need to carefully choose all shoe products and styles. My size is a nine medium and I can even insert a helpful insole, and the fit is comfortable from the first time I put the shoes on my feet. Or, you need not insert anything in the shoe for it to support well. The thing I like about this particular shoe's styling is that you will notice the mesh on the sides which allow your feet to breathe. In addition, the white color designing from the tip of the shoe going up THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOE, to the shoelaces seperates the shoe in half, to the naked eye, and makes the width of the shoe appear smaller, making your feet look smaller, which all women love. The mesh on sides and at back are a true brown making it kind of dressy and unusual. This is not my first pair and will not be my last. LORI L., Philadelphia, PA

Order 1/2 size bigger...WOW!
I really did my homework before buying these shoes. Everything I read said to buy a half size bigger than your normal shoe size. That was fact! I normally wear a 9 but I bought a 9.5 and it was Perfect. I have a wide ball of the foot (I thought) but I bought the M, it was perfect as well. I have bought New Balance, and these are so much more comfortable. I always slid on wet surfaces, but these grip great on sidewalks and pavement. When I get in mud or water I just throw them in the washer and let them air dry sitting on the heels, toes in the air.I use arch supports because of fallen arches, and had to loosen the laces a little but now I leave them on all day on the weekends. I had never heard of Ryka till I was looking at a magazine. It said "only shoe made just for women" so I tried them and fell in love. I have quit searching for the ok shoes. These are the best!

So far so good
I've looking for a good pair of shoes for walking. I did some research on the web, and these came back as a highly recommended shoe. They are very comfortable and provide great arch support, which is great because I lean toward pronation. I wore them for the first time to a local street festival and they held up very well in the comfort area. The fit was perfect and my usual shoe size. I've only worn them a couple of times, so I'll report back later, but if they continue to be comfy I believe my 4 stars will become 5.

Not Durable
These shoes fit well, and they are comfortable. But they don't hold up. I bought a pair in January which I rotate between two other pairs of shoes. That means I wear them about twice a week, and I rarely wear them outside. I've worn them inside my home, primarily for training. When I'm not wearing them, I store them on a shelf in my closet. They're not abused, but they look like it. I was so pleased when I bought them, but the insole is breaking down, and the uppers are stretched way out.I hadn't tried Ryka before, but these shoes had such glowing reviews I was persuaded to purchase. My experience was not good. I wouldn't write off the brand, but I would not buy another pair of these shoes.

Remarkable Ryka's
I really like Ryka shoes and these are exceptional. I ordered a 8M and they fit comfortable with socks Though, I normally wear a 7.5M. I wanted plenty of toe room and by buying one half size up, they fit great. They are light tan and beige and the color combo doesn't bother me at all.. They are very lightweight and of course the price was right also. I've already walked several times using these shoes since purchasing and my walking path is a mix of grass (ground), gravel and concrete. I was diagnosed with Mortons Neuroma and needless to say, not a bit of discomfort or pain, because, of the insole (ball of foot) and the Ortholite heel. These shoes are definitely a keeper and Ryka's were recommended by my podiatrist. You can't go wrong with these shoes.
