Surprisingly useful
I ordered this for a Japanese salad recipe I wanted to try. In appearance, the dried Wakami seaweed resembles Gunpowder tea, if you are familiar with that - pieces of the seaweed are rolled up into tight little balls the size of ball bearings. When you pour boiling water over them they unravel rapidly and expand massively in size. It's easy to soak more than you actually need. I've since found another use for this seaweed. It's nice added to rice, along with redcurrants. 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of the dried seaweed should be plenty, depending on how much rice you will be using. Soak it, and then stir it in. The redcurrants add a fruity tart flavour, which contrasts nicely with the seaweed.

I can't fault this product in any way. It ...
I can't fault this product in any way. It tastes right, it grows and grows when I add water. It's incredibly cheap compared to other brands so where's the catch? It's a product of China and that is probably a clue. Can the quality control be guaranteed? Where was this seaweed harvested? For all I know this could be harvested in polluted waters, I could be slowly ingesting mercury or some other nasty chemical. That's probably why I am prepared to pay a little more in future for a known brand.

Fresh, smooth, tasty, sea vegetables with a bitey texture!
First time trying seaweed and it won't be my last. This seaweed is easy to prepare, soak in water and wait for it swell up, only a small amount is needed which will last a couple of servings. I used it to make several portions of seaweed salad but this could be used as a greens replacement in any other dish hot or cold.Besides the additional health benefits of adding seaweed to your diet another benefit I found was that unlike standard greens that you cook with, this seaweed still retains it's texture which is smooth with a fresh bite to it even after being blanched in hot water and kept in the fridge for several days. This seaweed is not as salty as I had imagined it would be, the subtle taste of the sea, fresh, wholesome, tasty, seagreens. I will definitely purchase again.

On the fence.
This is my first time trying dried seaweed so I can't really review it against others.I didn't really like the taste/texture of the seaweed. Its very easy to use in cooking and the instructions are clear on the packet but I think it's just down to personal taste. I imagine its a lot nicer in a miso soup but when I used it in other dishes not so enjoyable.

Much better than I was expecting
Doesn't look like much because they're so small but they really do expand it quite large strands of very nice seaweed. It's easy to put too much in because the dried clumps are so small.
