Hi very good logs however the order was not complete, as no Matches in the package as advertised.V.Greenman.

Absolutely awful. They smoke terribly. Are impossible to light and are only suitable for chimneas with a giant flue and definitely not for fire pits.

Thought I'd post a review having used all the logs and got a good idea of their benefits and limitations.We burned them on an open fire, so I can't really comment for stoves.Pro's: Easily stored due to their cylindrical shape and compact sizeGive off a PHENOMENAL amount of heat once burning - I could feel my skin stretching from over 8 feet away!Burn for ages - I timed them at an average of 4 hours per logHardly any ash produced - it took a dozen of them to fill my laughably small ash panCon's: They're not the easiest thing to light, unless you break them up beforehand as the manufacturers suggestFor the price, and the convenience, these are a great alternative to most fuels. Fabulous heat logs. provide lots of heat.

I was really excited when I discovered these as I wanted something long lasting that I might be able to use instead of coal to keep the wood burner going at night. These certainly let off a lot of heat quickly, hence 2 stars rather than 1, but I don't find them any longer lasting than logs. I am using them in a wood burner and have to break them in half so maybe if you use them on a larger fire and don't have to break them up they would last longer (although it actually says to break them in two on the packaging). This is also an incredibly expensive way of buying them as I have found them locally for just over £3 for 10kg and here you pay over £30 for 30kg! I did email to cancel my order but my email seemed to have been ignored and it would cost me too much to send these back so I shall use them but will definitely not be buying again.

Plenty of heat from these.Approx 1 hour per log.These are just to get me started, till I get some coal in!
