An amazing gateway game. Highly scalable, with advanced elements that can be introduced as players become more familiar with tactics. 12 unique factions with endless combinations and possibilities.Relatively easy to scale-up a three player game, to use 6 factions over 3 ages, rather than 5 factions over two ages. Just flip tokens over to become 5 point markers. A bit fiddly to do, but with the right mix of factions can extend an already very fun experience.This game has converted my wife from a reluctant participant, into a keen player. Both her and my daughter set the game up themselves today because they were so keen to play.A memorable game that has brought our family a little bit closer during these uncertain times.Buy it.

Really good game for up to six players. Best thing is that, even with six players taking turns, it flows really quickly.On each turn you either collect a card or lay down a group of cards. However there's lots of complexity in which groups you lay.The groups of cards represent different factions of followers, like giants, orcs, skeletons etc. There are twelve factions; each with their own power. You use six per game so lots of replayabilty.A games takes about 30-45 minutes.One of those great games that is simple enough for everyone to play but enough depth that you want to try different approaches each round.It's like a cross between blood rage and ticket to ride.

The game is easy to learn, set up and take down is quick. Just the right duration to make it worth putting some thought into without outwarming it's welcome. Perfect for people who've played the games ideal for newbies ready to take the next step or newbies with some fantasy awareness or experience in other types of gaming. But this game is still welcome by veterans.

Love this game. The concept is easy so suitable for tweens despite suggested age of 14 on the box. It’s a game of strategy but not complex. It is one of my favourites. I like Catan and Colt Express and the strategic play is probably on par with them.

This is a really cool game. It has surprising depths in it and is just the right mixture of skill and luck.

Great game for up to 6 players

Fantastic card collecting game with simple rules but enough depth to really sink your teeth into. This little cracker is crying out for some expansion packs.We play a lot of board games in our family but this one is up there with my favourites.The game premise is simple. On your go, pick up a card or lay down a set, taking over an area of the board if you lay down enough. The fun is that each different card set is a race of creature with a different power to better you in the game. It might be allowing you another go, or allowing you to keep extra cards in your hand or scoring you bonus points.......Games last Andy forty minutes and plays best with about 4 although the two layer version is very playable. There are 12 different races, and you only play with a random 6 in a game so the games are very different.Hugely recommend this game. Can’t play it enough

Just received this from Shop4World but ordered via amazon, strange I can't see the order in my history but no matter. This is a CRACKING good game. Appeals to newbies as a gateway game as it's easy to pick up and learn but there is some depth to this game. When the card stack starts to dwindle or someone thwarts you by putting more of their tokens on a control area, or when someone puts down their remaining cards after a play for all to scavenge... all great fun.
