Works for what it's supposed to do

After my husband had a detached retina about 7 years ago and was told his vision could not be restored, we went on a quest of ways to improve eye sight. Part of his job he has had for the last 22 years and is well compensated for requires him to pass a vision test each year which he could NOT pass after the surgery for several months. We had to apply for a vision waiver from FMCSA (which is a long drawn out unpleasant experience). In order to pass the vision test as part of the FMCSA waiver he had to have a certain peripheral range and meet a few guidelines that we were told by his surgeon he would not be able to do.We weren't ready to throw in the towel so did several things to begin the process to improve his vision. We found that keeping him on 40-80 mg of Lutein continued to help his vision improve. We are 7 years post surgery and within 8 months of his surgery we had his vision tests within an acceptable range for the waiver. While he's still not at 100%, his vision hasn't gone backwards (even though he's 65).We continue to take 40-80 mg of Lutein daily religiously as we do feel it has greatly helped.
