Didn't expect this to be as good as the item I received but it's actually better than I thought. For the price I was expecting something that felt much cheaper than I got. I really like the the camera attachment mechanism, it makes it quick and simple to mount your camera to the cage. With lots of places to mount additional equipment this product is great value for money.

I have an original Canon M camera mounted on this rig.A Feelview monitor. mounted on top Also led light,microphone.A power pack mounted underneath to power the camera to give longer movie time .So plenty of room to fit accessories

I've been considering this Cage for a little while, but was concerned about my Camcorder's 3.5" LCD Flip out screen fitting within the frame. As it happens the frame isn't exactly symmetrical, so by using the cage effectively 'back to front' where the handles are against your grip, you can fit this sized camera screen within.I have tried to loosen the handle grips and twist them to be the correct way, which does allow you to, but I've not yet managed a way to tighten them up to be fully twisted around. The cage itself offers up plenty of holes for accessories to be clamped/screwed into place.I've been monitoring my drum studio, with a 7" LCD Monitor facing outward, that has a heavy duty Sony F750 Battery attached,As well as an Atomos Ninja II on the opposite side (see photos). I've managed to attach the cage to my tripod, although this is far from the sturdiest placement, although I think this may actually have more to do with my tripod, than the cage itself. Something I will look into soon enough. For the uses I want it for, it has so far been very good, especially for the price.Time will tell, as to how good it will be with numerous setups, and scenarios.

I really really like this it's just versatile enough without being too fussy, my only wish is that the blue parts were black

I so want to love this but I can't if I was honest.As a standalone camera cage / rig it's fine. I've attached DSLRs, smartphones, action cameras, lights and microphones to it without problems. The upper plate has a number of 1/4" screw holes for attachments and accessories and the ability to separate the plate from the rest of the cage was the main draw for me, as was the ability to use the pistol grips.Sadly however, there are drawbacks. The pistol grips have a solid locating pin protruding from their tops as well as a 1/4" screw. This interferes with whatever accessory you're trying to screw them to (a smartphone mount for example). Also, the lower plate has two 1/4" holes underneath the camera mount for mounting the cage to a tripod. However, the tripod screw fouls on the camera mount screw unless you pack it with washers to stop it protruding through the plate (very annoying and potentially unstable). Finally, the powder coating on my cage comes off if you look at it - I've scratched it with my fingernail and (unbelievably) a rubber washer. Granted it's aluminium but that's besides the point.For this price I really can't complain too much, but this cage could have been great with smarter design and better build quality. Only time will tell how long it lasts but it's not for professionals or frequent users.

Item arrived looked awesome felt solid . Then I screwed the camera in and mounted a tripod plate in to bottom of it . Tightened it and then slightly secured it then I threaded the hole ..I do this regularly and never lost a thread .This is why it's probably cheap . I wouldn't put my expensive camera in cage that will fall off .No thanks .Thanks

This thing is a BANG for your buck. I've been trying to find a big cage for my camera to help me stabilize my videos, and this thing is great.It's not too heavy, but made incredibly well. And I haven't seen anyone mention this yet - but it is completely collapsable. You can take it apart if you need to travel with it, and without any tools!!Do it. If you need something light and simple, I highly recommend it!The only downside- my rode mic doesn't fit in the flash port on my camera when it is attached to the cage, and I also can't screw it in to the top because the bolt is too big - I have a Rode mic.

Im Zusammenspiel mit einer Sony DSLR die perfekte Videolösung. Zusätzlichen Screen, Pocket-Recorder und LED-Light montiert und zahlreiche "Interviews" aus der Hand gedreht. Die Bewegung der Kamera gestaltet sich - abhängig vom montierten Zubehör - deutlich angenehmer und präziser, da man einfach größere Bewegungsradien hat. Die Verarbeitung (Montage, Gewinde, Alu-Teile) wirkt ordentlich, wobei ich zwischendurch ab und an die Griffe "nachgezogen" habe. Aber bei dem Preis ist das nicht wirklich dramatisch. Bis jetzt hat auch noch kein Plastik der Griffe aufgegeben oder Verschleisserscheinungen. Insgesamt bin ich durchaus zufrieden mit dem Käfig.

So i recently got this. Amazing product at this price. A lot of additions can be made to the cage. And is fully customisable. It is also easy to reassemble and easy to pack and carry in the camera bag itself. Light weight as well. Its definitely not a stabiliser so don’t get it if you are looking for the same. Overall it is way more than the value it is selling at. Cheers!
