Mafia on PS2
Enjoyed the game a few years ago. It got lost and so bought another and it is just as enjoyable as it was, apart from the long pauses when changing districts. But a good game nonetheless.

Very Good.
I really like this game. It's a lot like other free roaming games, but it also has the old-school level mode. L.A. Noire seems to take a lot of influence from this game, and it is very enjoyable - although the game has to load the right side of the map EVERY time you visit it (and then it has to reload the left side when you return).

Feels its age.
this game feels older then what it is....I think it suffers the Grand Theft Effect more then any other game of its type.To be fair to it its a mission based game without that freedom of choice you so desire. The graphics are a mixture of gorgeous character models and ugly landmarks. If you can pick it up cheap you'll have a lot of fun with it. Its great to drive an old car, to be an old style capone gangster. A charming game.

A cult classic
One of the best stories ina game. Sure the gameplay is stiff but it is challenging. The textures are also kinda horrible, but this is a game i'll never forget. Maybe get it on PC if possible.

Boring!!!
This game may be very realistic and have a big map, but as it turns out that's a bad thing! The cars are slow and handle like a shed making it almost impossible to 'hide' from police. Also being set in the 30s means there's no radio in the cars - big map and no radio means very boring!
