Brilliant Little Device
A bit of background. My 12 year old car has a Radio/CD/MP3 player. It won't work. I have a bluetooth speaker in my car instead and stream from my phone. I have thousands of CDs but can't play them - I play vinyl at home not CD. I looked around at portable CD players as I intended to hard wire a CD player to the AUX socket of the bluetooth speaker. However, looking at the options out there, most of the portable CD players needed AA batteries and I really didn't fancy replacing those every five minutes. Whilst I was searching on Amazon I came across this, the ION Air CD player. In the distant past I had an ION turntable which lasted years, so I was aware of their products. The added advantage of the Air was the inclusion of Bluetooth and the fact it could be run from a powered source, not just batteries. It was £20 more than most of the other options, but despite of this - and the plethora of bad reviews - I decided to give it a go. After all, with Amazon I could simply return it if it didn't do what I wanted it to.Well, I have to say I think this is a brilliant little thing. I simply used the supplied (very short!) barrel cable to an adapter running from my cigarette lighter thing, read the instructions and connected to my bluetooth speaker without any issues. Within a couple of minutes I was streaming the CD to the speaker. I also tried to connect to my wireless Sony MDR headphones and again, worked first time. Also connected easily to another speaker I have.I've used this now for the last week without any issues at all. The Air connects to my speakers first time, every time and thanks to the built in 60 second anti-shock system I've not had one skip from any of the CDs I've played in the car.Perfect. Very pleased.

Compact Bluetooth CD Player
Bought this for my wife for Christmas as she wanted "less clutter on the kitchen worktop".The neat little player arrived very quickly, and then got stored away for Christmas. Today I have set it up for her, using the USB lead (provided) into a wall socket with USB port. It took me a bit of time to realize that the player would not pair with the speaker until I put a CD into the machine (otherwise I just got the message NoDisc). It is also a bit disappointing that the pairing is "lost" every time you turn the speaker off. This fact may infuriate the missus! Bluetooth range seems OK - will work with the speaker upstairs, but the signal doesn't like passing through solid walls. So far - I reckon this is a good product.

Bluetooth CD player...awesome!
Arrived on time. Unlike other reviews my unit connects fine via Bluetooth (tried with Sony, Marshall and Monster speakers). Feature set is good: skip buffer stores 60 seconds of music so if you knock or bump the unit the music is not interrupted. Repeat function offers normal play, random play, repeat play and a program button allows user to order the tracks as they wish. Sound quality is excellent and will depend on the speakers used of course. Can be powered by 2 AA batteries or the included usb power cable attached to a portable power bank. There is a headphone jack. The unit base is of hard plastic and the lid of thinner plastic so build quality is more functional than top quality. The buttons are small but click and operate well. The display is tiny but does show track numbers, track play time, Bluetooth status, buffer status and repeat/random play status. The player is more compact than I expected and very lightweight, not a burden for travel. Overall it works better than I expected after reading other reviews and I am very happy with it.

None too clear how to use this
I bought this as a present for someone else who like me, is not a techie, to use in our car which no longer has a CD player. The advertising assumed I knew all about these gadgets and did not make clear what would be supplied, and whether it would have all the kit necessary to make it work in the car. And we still don't know, after trying it out! One CD refused to play and another did, but we could not get it to play through the car's speakers. Everything assumes we know how to use all this wireless/Bluetooth technology - and we do not.

Bluetooth Capability is limited. No way of inputting required pin number.
I was disappointed that I could not 'pair' this item with either of the two cars in the family, which was my primary reason for buying the machine.Once I purchased a 3.5mm Jack To Jack AUX connecting cable I achieved what I wanted to do. The sound reproduction is great and, apart from the Bluetooth element, it does everything it says on the packet.

Bluetooth is very poor indeed
I purchased this for my daughter as she wanted to be able to stream directly to her speakers and headphones. I tried to get it to connect to both without success, and eventually only managed to get the Bluetooth to work with my soundbar.I called Ion Audio (who were totally clueless), and was told that the equipment might use a "different sort" of Bluetooth. First I've heard about there being different types of Bluetooth, and I feel I was fobbed off with a pathetic excuse. I notice I'm not the only one having these connection issues, so can only assume the Bluetooth capability of this CD player leaves a lot to be desired.Sound quality is good though, but the dispay is small, hard to read, and next to useless. Unfortunately this seems to be the only personal CD player being sold as having Bluetooth, but if you are buying it for that reason, I would steer well clear.

Disappointed
Bluetooth connection was very poor and required keeping the player with you, so not as stated

Connects to bluetooth speaker, unlike others
Finally a small CD player that connects to my bluetooth speaker! It's what I needed to play some old CDs I have, and it was incredibly difficult to find one that would connect to bluetooth - yes you could of course use a plug connector, but bluetooth gives you the option of moving the two parts separately to different rooms or areas outside - just makes it so much more practical.
