Beautiful Watch
I was tired of my FitBit while becoming increasing aware that maybe absorbing Bluetooth 24/7 isn't a good idea, I decided to go back to watches. Timex has always been my nostalgic go to. This is a pretty watch. I like the readability (I wear bifocals), it lights up for easy reading at night, it keeps time accurately, it is very stylish and I have received many compliments on it. The fit is perfect. However, the band is easily adjustable. I definitely recommend this great quality, affordable watch. This is my second Timex that I have bought in the past month. It's becoming a collection as there are quite a few more Timex's that I would like.

Good value
I’m very happy with this Timex. I have a small wrist but poor eyesight so I wanted something big enough to be be able to read easily but not overwhelm my wrist. This is the perfect size. The numbers and hands on the dial are really clear and easy to read. The tan leather strap is much nicer looking than I expected. I also like that it doesn’t have a date setting, which keeps things very simple for me. I have had it a couple of months now and it is keeping perfect time.

Perfect!
I bought this watch after two months of shopping, warily expecting the issues other reviewers mentioned: doesn't keep good time, too shiny, hard to adjust the band. I thought at least it's so cheap I can get another if it's no good, and I liked the listed features. For my watch at least, none of those issues were true. I've been wearing it since it arrived two days ago, and the time it keeps seems perfect (and it's easy to read, with the clear yet subtle gold dots for each minute).Appearance: the finish is exactly what I was expecting--shiny, polished brass--and I like it. It doesn't seem too bright or tacky to me. It's simple, classic-looking, and elegant. I like the quiet rainbow sheen of the mother-of-pearl dial, and I love that the numbers are in gold instead of black or some more obvious shade. As far the fit and adjustment: I have small wrists (6 1/8" around, or .15.3 cm), and the band nearly fit out of the box. I didn't like that it slid around, so I took out three links using a tutorial from The Watch Prince>Info>"Removing a Link: Expansion." I had no problems making this simple adjustment, but I do have some experience making jewelry and fixing sewing machines, so I'm familiar with adjusting tiny metal bits. I also had two pairs of precision needle-nose pliers. If you don't have a tool like that, it would be hard.Based on the proportions in the picture, the watch is smaller than I expected, even after holding up a ruler to see what a 25.5 mm case and 12 mm band would look like. Quite flattering on my small frame. I think the pictured watch has had the band shortened dramatically. The tick is audible if I put it up to my ear but otherwise I have not noticed it (I have no noticeable hearing loss). The practicality features are wonderful. The backlight works well: you push in the stem (the knob for setting the time) and the light glows. As soon as you release the stem, the light stops. I love that there are numbers on every hour marker, and thin black lines on every minute, and all without sacrificing beauty. The expansion (spring) band is also convenient, although I prefer the look of regular link bands. I was planning to buy a regular metal band for $10-20 and replace it myself, but now that I'm wearing it, I'm very happy with the original band.Highly recommended.

I Can See the numbers
Though this Timex watch is rather large, it is an attractive casual watch. The expandable band looks very nice, but I find it pinches my wrist from time to time, so I don't wear it as much as I had hoped. Maybe it is my fault and I had one too many links removed. I'm not sure. It has the indi-glo feature that allows you to push a button and a soft light lets you view the time in a low-light situation. The second hand is a nice feature too, as it seems some watches no longer offer them. The numbers are large and easy to view.

Nice watch, great value
It is easy to read and a good quality for the price. My wife prefers a simple, accurate and affordable watch; this checks all of those boxes.

Delightful! Don’t Hesitate.
This is adorable. For the price, truly unbeatable. It’s a bit tricky to size yourself, but aside from that… magic!

Mother’s Day present success!
This is a great quality little watch exactly what I would expect from Timex! The indiglo feature makes it easy to read in low light and it has a beautiful mother of pearl backing. I bought this as a Mother’s Day present and my mother loved it. It replaced the old Timex watch she’s been wearing for 25 years.

BAIT & SWITCH! NOT THE STRAP PICTURED IN AD. UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE AFTER BATTERY CHANGE!
The strap on this watch is NOT as pictured! Very disappointed and may have to return it. The picture in the ad shows a textured LEATHER strap with imitation "alligator grain" but the strap is plain brown, IS STIFF and WAY TOO LONG! :( I don't know why it's so hard to get a watch strap of the correct length on amazon! Previously I bought one that turned out on arrival to be too short! The picture in the ad on amazon is misleading and shoppers including myself expected the textured leather in a size that fits a normal wrist. Probably will have to return item or buy a separate watchband locally. This is not fair. Please fix this problem, Amazon. The watch itself is nice and seems to be keeping time but for the price of this item the band should match item description instead of disappointing us.UPDATED REVIEW: (2025) I am aggravated at how utterly impossible it is to change the battery and reclose the back on this watch (and on another Timex I also own). I opened both, to find a working battery, only to discover it is IMPOSSIBLE to reclose either Timex watch! I have researched online for solutions/help but the advice found offered no solution. I have ZERO PATIENCE for Timex continuing to make it necessary to either hire a jeweler to change the battery or buy another Timex watch when the battery fails. This is absurd and very annoying. There is no excuse for making it this difficult to re-close the back on the watch when battery needs replacing. I will think twice about buying another Timex! GRRR! :-\Further edit: It's been weeks and I STILL CANNOT GET THE BACK TO CLOSE ON EITHER WATCH! So angry about this! :((
