Comfortable, true to size and a great walking, hiking sandal

I bought an exact pair 11 years ago before my travels to Uzbekistan,Turkemanestan and beyond. They were a fantastic purchase. They are extremely comfortable, hard wearing and have great ankle support. So well made. After 11 years of hard work they needed replacing and I was so pleased I could buy the same make and model. If they last another 11 years it would have cost me just under £8.00 per year. Highly recommend.

These sandals never fail to be the best. Comfortable , supportive and attractive for a walking sandal.

Let's face it, these sandals are ugly. So why did I buy them? They are Merrells and I have had several pairs of their trainers and walking boots and never been disappointed so decided to give them a go. They are robust, supportive and, above all, comfortable. The support is achieved by means of a very detailed/complicated design, which means that it is very difficult to get a matched pair. I had to send this pair back as they did not match. I then tried a local retailer and the first pair I tried there also did not match. The next pair were a lot better, so I bought them even though I can still see a discrepancy. Most people wouldn't spot it.My advice: the sandals are good and they sell well but don't buy online. Go into a local supplier and examine them minutely until you find a pair the you are satisfied with.

Quality item that we expect will last. Very comfortable and worth a premium over cheaper walking sandals.

This is very important to know:1. These sandals are very, very comfortable, but the sizing is haphazard.2. I love Merrrel shoes, but I have 6, 6.5 and 7!3. They do come up rather narrow - so beware.4. Returns are rather complicated (for me) since there is no collection available.5. If like me, you have mobility issues, these need to be taken to a Post Office.6. What with the sizing and returns policy I find it is very inconvenient. After all, if one can go to the P.O., one might as well go to the outlet, and try them on for size.

The best walking sandals I've ever had. These are my second pair and I can't recommend them highly enough. Try them, I'm sure you'll love them too!!
