One Minor Issue
The media could not be loaded. As you can see in the photos, these will work with any size 2x lumber (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc.). I chose to go with a 2x6 on the bottom for added support and because visually, I think having the additional mass on the bottom is more appealing. The top 2x4 is supposed to support the top rail and prevent it from sagging, but there's one small problem. In some cases, the bracket is slightly taller than the 2x4. It depends on how wet the pressure treated lumber is. I forgot to measure, but if the 2x4 is 3-1/2", the bracket must be 3-5/8 inches, so the 2x4 doesn't quite make contact with the bottom of the guard rail. That means I have to jump on the miter saw to trim 1/8" off of the bracket. No big deal, and it's not the case with every 2x4 since the lumber dimensions can vary, but if I was the designer of this bracket I'd be kicking myself for that one oversight. This is only an issue though if you're screwing from the top down through the guard rail into the 2x4 like I am and you don't want to see a gap.Check out the prototype I made in the photos. The end result is going to be a pretty beefy guard rail.By the way, the pink spindles are fiberglass rebar (called pinkbar, or FIBERGLASS REINFORCED POLYMER REBAR FRP Rebar) sold at the home improvement store. It comes in 10' lengths which is perfect for my 24" spindles. The cost works out to $1.36 per spindle. It can be cut with a miter or table saw and painted, is cheaper than steel, won't rust, is lightweight, and is sturdy enough for this application. If you kick it, it will give then bend back into shape. I've kicked it pretty hard and it has not snapped. I cut it with a rebar cutter and that was a mistake because it crushed and splintered on me. As for spindles, the last thing I want to see after all this work is pressure treated wood spindles warping all over the place. The other negative with these brackets (and it's a small one), is that the bracket creates a gap between the butt end of the 2x6 and the post. So if that bothers you, you'll need to notch every 2x6 for a tight fit. I didn't and the guard rail looks just fine. The small gap is not a big deal.Other than that, I'm sold on these brackets. They look really cool and create a solid connection. I used about 110 brackets on my project and will be using the same bracket on my next deck project.06/24/2023: As a followup, now that my project is complete, I can offer some advice for anyone looking to duplicate this guard rail design. When you're drilling the holes in the 2x, the hole in the 2x6 on the bottom should be about 1" in depth, but the hole in the 2x4 on the top should be about 3". This way, you can affix both 2x to the posts with these brackets, then slide the rebar upwards into the 2x4, then downward into the 2x6, and you're done. For a few sections, I was drilling too deep into the bottom and so my spindles were too short, so I had to fill in the hole with pebbles. And I was inserting the rebar into the bottom all at once making a giant comb, then lowering the top 2x4 onto the comb, which was a huge hassle and very frustrating trying to get the rebar into the holes, left to right. Trust me, deep hole on top, shallow hole on the bottom, and the job will go much smoother. Also, squirt some caulking into the bottom hole for rot protection. I used 2 tubes on this project. And if using the 3/8" pink bar, start the hole using a 7/16" Forstner bit for a clean hole, but for speed, finish the upper 3" hole with a regular bit.

Worked great.
These brackets made the installation of the rails very easy. They seem very durable and look good, also. The only thing that could have been better was if they included a driver bit with the screws.

Brackets used with treated wood.
These sturdy brackets are a must for connecting 2x4s to the post. Very easy to install and durable while adding a clean connection, no more pilot holes, broken bits.

Made strong-Looks Good and easy to instaLL
Worked great for a redo on the railing. Made nice and heavy. I had to trim part of the bracket for the T-rail on top but it came out great . Would definitely recommend.

Greatest product design I've seen
I was nervous ordering these somewhat blindly online. They are listed as nylon so I wasn't sure. These things are simply amazing. Quality material and quality design especially the angled pre drilled holes. Awesome

Nice railing attachment.
These railing attachments are sturdy and solid for being plastic. I like the look and feel of them the way they perform and their color. I would recommend.

They work
I got me some expensive ones first and they were beautiful, but these ones are cheaper and do the same job. They make my balcony look pretty nice.
