Plastic Welder, 2 in 1 Plastic Welding Kit, Hot Stapler Plastic Repair Kit For Car Bumper Cracks, Kayaks, Plastic Toys

I always wanted some way to fix heavy plastic items which otherwise are still good. This kit does that! I fixed a plastic wheelbarrow bucket that had a split corner and my daughter is still using it as well as new a year later. Fixed my chickens 6 gallon waterer handle that had the end knob that goes into the bucket snap off. I didn't thing that would work but I can carry the full bucket by the handle again... carefully, but it is working! The little 'wiggly staple shaped' electric heated wires melt into the plastic across the break and hold it together. Then the heated putty knife, like a wide soldering pencil, spreads and embeds melted plastic into and over the break and adds extra seal and strength.This is for fixing relatively thick plastic at least 1/8" or thicker. It would be difficult to fix, for example, a matchbox car or a small plastic toy. It can probably fix something like a sit on toy truck or plastic tricycle frame or heavy plastic trash can, etc.Works perfectly for heavy plastic! I would recommend this product!

I had never done plastic welding before. This kit has NO instructions at all but otherwise a very complete kit with a case. A couple of YouTube videos got me trained. I used to repair a PPE fender on my Gator. Worked great. The re-enforcing wires mended the crack together and a compound break was secured with the stainless steel mesh. The iron gets very hot and melded the fender plastic back together. I added a little plastic rod to the larger crack. Sanding, flexible filler and paint and you can barely tell it was busted. More affordable than a new fender. Very happy.

I used this to help reinforce the seat in my kayak. It's HDPE and it worked easily. I used a couple different versions of the staples depending on the location and snipped off the legs once placed. I did go back through with a Dremel and grind the stubs down below the surface of the plastic and then backfilled the divets with more welding rod when I filled in the rest of the crack.The crack was on the seat hinge, so it needed to be extra reinforced.

Received the welder units in a timely manner, however the instructions that came with the unit were very vague, so off to U-Tube to get more information. Never found this exact unt on U-Tube but a similar one that gave demostration on using the welder system. I purchased the welder to repair a plastice fuel tank on my garden tractor, which I had orddred a replacement. but had been delayed as a backorder for over two months. The cracks were on inside corners of the tank which made the job just a bit more difficult than on a flat surface. The staples were very easy to use to hold the cracks and the the iron was effficient in melting the rods to reinforce the tank over the cracks. Only difficulty was getting into the corners with the size of the iron head and I would suggest having a smaller iron head for getting into tight areas. Purchasing this unit allowed me to put my tractor back in use while waiting for the replacement tank.

Great price. Easy to use. My first repair was on a cheap garden hose attachment. It had a crack and leaked. Easy repair if you follow instructionsCAUTION. It gets real hot. You could brand cattle ! Therefore use real caution while it is cooling down and possibly unattended.

The stapler works great but the welding unit worked less than a half hour and quit.

It worked just like I was needing it too. Fixed my lawnmower hood that was cracking. It works.
