My son has an obsession with dinosaurs, so when he saw this one as a preview on his old Curious George DVD I got him, I just knew he needed this movie. While waiting for this DVD to arrive I rented a different Land Before Time movie which he wasn't majorly into, so that made me a bit nervous. But this one, he really loves! The songs in it are just wonderful and he enjoys dancing along to them. And after only watching it for 2 days he's already learning the names of the characters...and he's not even 3 yet! So glad I decided to get this one for him. Maybe now he'll be more interested in the others, too. I love bringing a part of my childhood to him, sharing a common interest!

The newest installment has the lovable dinos meeting a new and unique creature named Guido. Guido has no memories of who or what he is other than his name. It is up to Littlefoot and the gang to help Guido find his place in the world. Petrie has the most to gain from associating with Guido because like Guido he is having a hard time fitting in with the other flyers. Petrie is having trouble getting ready for the day of the flyers (his rite of passage to become an adult) because he must learn to fly in formation with his siblings. However, he is only good at flying when alone. The whole premis of the movie is that Guido and Petrie learn that it is OK to be different and to accept who you are.

I've seen a couple of the Land Before Time movies in years past. I don't have children so I've never purchased one... until now. I watched part of the "Great Day" at a friend's home. It was wonderful!I enjoyed seeing how the real-life challenges were overcome, e.g., Sera's dealing w/ the new one. The youngster I was watching with wanted to go to to the beginning (since you can't rewind a DVD). Inside I was "up in arms" because I wanted to see the entire movie. So I decided I needed to buy my own copy. And I'll share it w/ some other young ones... & not-so-young... because it's a beautiful story.

Once again I find myself looking for a real-time experience that would immerse me in the age of the dinosaurs and once again I come away disappointed in that this is a cartoon, not actual dinosaur video footage, with a storyline that could only be written by Hollywood for kids, if not infants.

I have two boys who absolutely love the Land Before Time movies. While I do agree with other reviews about the first one being the best, this one is also a favorite in our home. My kids and I searched five different stores for this movie and couldn't find it, so I decided to go online. I really appreciate the people who take the time to write reviews on here for products. I find them to be very helpful. I spent quite a while reading reviews for the other Land Before Time movies on here. I was impressed with the reviews for this one, and ended up purchasing (V) The Mysterious Island as well. We love them both!

My Littles love these movies, so this rating is based on how much they like it, rather than the actual quality of the movie. I do like that they all pretty much have good values for kids to learn and practice, so I'm not just throwing a great review on something non-wholesome just because it keeps my kids quiet! ;-)

I grew up on little foot and the gang, so when my son discovered dinosaurs I introduced him and he fell in love with them as well. Highly recommend this and the rest of the great valley adventures. Emotional and wonderful.

Y'a 14 Films en tout (De Petit Pied) en date d'aujourdhui seul le 1er est aussi offert en Bluray...et le mega boitié qui les réunis tous n'est pas 100 $ Belingue avec la piste audio en Français et je les voulais tous en Belingual et a ce prix la que soit pour vous et oû faire découvrir a des kids c'est l'iďeal Sauf si les kids tripe pas quand c'est rétro et un peu granuleux (Rien de dégeu) et dans le temps c'etait animé dessins par dessin ;)
