Tumi Luggage Voyageur Cortina Boarding Tote Bag, Black, Medium

I have tried so many bags and I can finally quit looking. This bag is so stylish and light weight. But it is deceptively adept and holding more and more and more. The straps are the perfect length not to short or long. Plus it has the built in slot for sliding over your rolling luggage which keeps very secure on top. Even when I have this full with my laptop, some files, my bag of cords, pencil case, full size nose headphones, a couple books and my iPad, I can still stuff in my jacket and carry on purse to consolidate and satisfy the boarding agent. While being light weight the bag still holds it shape quite well. I got the orange and get compliment after compliment about my great bag from both men and women alike.

I really love this bag. I've had a couple of different carryon solutions and they've been cumbersome, flimsy and poorly designed. I decided to break out the big guns and get this bag.Love:Lightweight. Anyone who says otherwise must be using a plastic grocery bag for comparison.NO Velcro. My last bag had several velcro pockets and it would snag on all kinds of things, including expensive sweaters. Not good.A pocket for everything: some people like one big bag and that's OK. I like a bag that has a place for everything. There's even a small velvet pouch for jewelry. There's small pockets for my earplugs, earbuds, plane tickets, ID and so on. I don't find myself digging furiously through my bag looking for something, which can be stressful while traveling (side note: this bag would be great for everyday use as well).Five year warrantyI think it is as big as it can possibly be for a tote. The straps are long enough so your not holding your bag in your armpits. If it were any bigger, it would need a large shoulder strap but that is exactly what I was trying to avoid.Extremely well-made. Not a single flaw (and believe me: for $256 for a nylon tote, I looked).Cons:I was expecting this bag to have the classic Tumi metal ID tag. At the time of this writing, the picture of the black bag indicates that this bag has it. When I received the item, I was looking for it and couldn't find it. In order to be part of Tumi's fantastic warranty, I actually sent back the Amazon one and went to a Tumi boutique and bought it (for the exact same price). As a result, there's a paper trail for the purchase. The store associate informed me that not all Tumi products have the tag (I'm guessing the more expensive bags have it).I was going to list price as a drawback, but you get what you pay for. I know that if I have any problem with it I can contact Tumi and they'll take care of it.

It is a perfect size and weight to carry on plane with or without your carry on suitcase.By itself, it is so light so you are not lugging a heavy suitcase tote and the straps are long enough to wear it comfortably on your shoulder and its easy to slide onto the handle of you carry on suitcase. Lots of useful pouches to choose from, the large side one will hold your Bose headphone case and the two outer ones are big enough to carry a regular size water bottle. Love it!

Really liked this bag when I purchased it. However, 3 months after buying it the pocket seam inside came undone. Additionally, the fabric is not stain resistant at all, and with the tons of travel that I do, it did not hold up well and is showing dirt. I have tried to clean it, but it will not come clean, which is disappointing, for the steel blue/gray color, which is gorgeous. It would be nice if there were compartments that would hold files, papers, etc. Instead, papers and files become crumpled with the laptop inside. It does have lots of pockets which are nice, but again, not durable.

High quality bag with tons of space. I use it for traveling. It allows me to bring all the things I need, as well as my two small children in one convenient carry on.

I'm returning this because when it is full (which it would always be), it is very bulky looking and hangs forward off the top of my suitcase. I'm also not a big fan of the Tumi Voyageur hard handles. They weigh a lot. BUT all things Tumi Voyageur are beautiful. I try them all. (Warning: they all have very narrow back sleeves for going over rolling bags; won't work well with wide handles or those where the handle is wide.)

Great bag. Held everything. Easy to handle in the airport. I highly recommend it. Great addition to travel gear and I like it a lot better than my Tumi backpack.
