Condensed biographys
I enjoyed the short stories of heros.I have never been a hero but a true survivor, as a native American, in a oppressive white society. Maybe in some essence I am a hero to the masses of survivors in my situation. I am one of many who lived through and stand tall after the impossible conditions of society's oppression.

GREAT book
Great book to read about real-life heroes. Being a Vietnam vet, I appreciated all these heroes. This book is hard to put down.

Giant Killers
We go about our lives and for the most part are oblivious to the valor and truly epic events that many have lived. Instead of made up super heroes who brave danger for the greater good, kids should be taught that they are among us daily. I read this book in amazement, often with tears in my eyes, and disbelief at the adversity these men fought . I stand in awe and respect of their courage, dedication, tenacity and selflessness. Would that I could count myself among them. True heroes !!

A good read !
I enjoyed reading this book and am immensley proud of these men from all backgrounds that put their lives on the line and did great acts of valour for their brothers in arms and their country . These stories of valour span multiple wars from WW2 to Iraq and make epic reading . I recommend this book to everyone interested in reading about heroic acts of courage in wartime .

An inspirational collection of stories of Heroes
David has reached into the past and brought back the inspirational stories of extraordinary individuals who might easily have become forgotten. He allows these legands and heroes to walk among us as he shares their journey, some tragic, with us. This is a book everyone should read and remember. Thanks to David for ensuring that these men and women live on amongst us in the present.Barry Zworestine.
