I tried this as a last ditch attempt at fixing the cloudy water in my jellyfish lamp. If you have one of these lamps, you know that you're instructed to use dish soap to break the surface tension of the water for the jellies to float around. Problem is, it makes the water so scummy looking within a couple days. (Sometimes mere hours!) I saw people suggesting liquid SLS as an alternative on a lava lamp subreddit. It works! After thoroughly rinsing the lamp I added new distilled water and about ⅛ teaspoon of this SLS. The pics I've included is what it looks like a full week later.

Well to tell the truth I haven't used it yet but if a splash added to a 3% bleach and water mixture it and sprayed onto your roof it will get rid of those dark lines which is algae from the trees and will clean your roof.

Myoc Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) This brand worked great in my lava lamps but be sure to get this one and not the Sodium Lauryl Ester Sulfate The Ester variation's pH seemed too high and made the lamp cloudy. This Sodium Lauryl Sulfate SLS was perfect. When the lamp is cold empty your cloudy lava fluid keeping the wax. Add up to 50 ml of the Myoc Sodium Lauryl Sulfate SLS Surfactant to a Large 27'' Lava Grande with Distilled Water. For color you can add a transparent colorant like Dr. Ph. Martin's Synchromatic Transparent Water Color and that's it. Don't add salt! Restore your cloudy lava lamp!Great Product!
