Philips SHX50/00 On-Ear LED Headphones with Microphone (40 mm Neodymium Driver/LED Button) - Black/Gold

Update: After months of not using these and becoming familiar with more expensive headphones I put these on again and they sound better than my initial impressions! (because of decades of hearing cheap V shaped basshead gear from Sony, skullcandy etc, I'm also using Dolby Atmos on phone now) The only negative so far is vocals sound a little harsh but I'm comparing them to £200 cans and the difference is not as much as I'd expect. I've changed rating to 5 stars purely based on price to sound quality ratio. I got these for £25 and at that price point they're definitely worth it, at double that price I'm not sure. Straight out of the box they sounded too bright, treble heavy for my tastes but I guess that's the philips sound signature that you might like. I use a bass boost for everything I play on these.They're comfortable but make my ears hot, I can't wear them more than an hour. If you have to have on ear headphones they're not bad at all, they're sounding good right now playing Jean-Michel Jarre but if you don't mind trying IEMs you can get some for the same price that sound 100 times better than these or any other headphone for the same money.I don't know what the point of the lights are and I'm someone who likes music reactive lights and lasers. You can't see them when you're wearing the headphones, anyone who can see them can't hear the music and they're not really reacting in a musical way, they flash rapidly for ALL sound even at the lowest volume.They are sensitive and can be driven with phones easily.

Purchased two sets of these babies now. They give great sound and clarity with a cool bass thrown in. The headphone sizing is perfect for small heads and more than caters for larger domes. Work really well with my Bang&Olufson system. I am sure you will love these too as comfort allows you to listen to the music you love for hours. Get these while they are cheap, you will not find a headphone set as good for its money than these. There is also a blue led on each headphone which flashes to the sound of the music, but to be honest it is a gimmick the HX5 can do without, unless you are a teenager who will love this feature all for about a day. This feature can be activated or cancelled by a button on the headset.

I bought this same set of headphones again because they were broken, (not due to bad manufacturing but because of my carelessness) . I liked them so much I bought them again. I like the sound quality of the headphones plus the flashing lights are fun. ☺

Amazing sound, quality and desing. The problem is the LED light, when you activate the lights a little sound appear in the left side. But is not a true problem for me.

Get these Headphones ASAP!!! I cannot believe they are so cheap considering their PREMIUM Quality. The sound is crystal clear, bass is on point and volume can be raised very high.

Great sound through full spectrum. Fits just right to and seems to block out noise from external sources. Only problem is that the cord is too short.

Goes to show you shouldn’t always right your review quickly.These have broken in several places and had to be superglued several times. Would have returned them but after the final break it all became to much and I just threw them away.Sound was actually good but build quality was so very very poor
